For the sake of an extra tenner or so I would stick to Aquapac. Have used them for my car keys and I have a bigger one that I used for my phone for when I was on call out from work (so I could have a sneaky surf ). They still need changing I would say every couple of years as they can eventually leak but in the grand scheme of things it is not a lot of money when you think of the cost of replacing an electronic key fob or mobile phone. Not worth going cheap on something like this.

Used this on my holiday in Lanzarote last month, flawless product. Had the phone in the pool and ages in the salty sea with no issues. Worth the money 100%

How usable is phone screen in pouch?

    Perfect.
took these canoeing last year, they work fine in the case.

Brilliant price, just what I need as surf season gets closer - these are great to put the car key in and tuck into the wetsuit rather than have to always have one person not in the water, sat on the beach holding the key!

But what if an ornery seal comes and rips off your wetsuit

Not reading the title properly I thought these were made by the cycling accessory company Topeak, I wonder if that's their sneaky plan?

I have two similar items both by different manufacturers and they both seal perfectly well, I've had phones completely immersed in water when kayaking and they've been completely dry in their little pouches.

I've got these, different seller most likely but as with all these alphabet soup companies, it's the same product.

Use mine to protect my phone when I'm in the lab, around fairly harsh chemicals. Seal is excellent because the two clips are very strong. Touch screen works perfectly, and you can hear the phone speaker out of it as well.

While a vacuum is better, it's patented and not readily available in the UK as much as it used to be. You can squeeze most of the air out before you seal it, but it's not the main purpose of these cases.

My vacuum seal cases have both failed in exactly the same place, where the plastic has been folded in packaging. These were for iPad though. The phone cases in question here done have that issue. I would recommend, but check others for pricing

the above comment is correct. different company names, same product.

I have this, its good for the price. Keeps my Huawei P40 Pro completely sealed, dry when poolside and in the jacuzzi at the gym.

Only thing of note is that your phone can get a bit hot if your actually using it in the sealed pouch for too longer than say an hour. (edited)

Not sure I'd ever take a phone into the sea. Case or not.

I've just got back from Egypt, using these in the red sea snorkelling was brilliant, nothing to worry about

Can’t people really live without their phones underwater?
    thedvdmonster's avatar
    Just for piece of mind.
we go on loads of boat trips abroad and want o keep phones nice and dry.

do these float in the water if you drop the phone?
    Korg7's avatar
    No, sinks to the ground.
