great deal

I'm not a particular fan of Toshiba. I have had a few of their products in the past and they have been ok but not fanastic. Sony and Samsung are my fave brands for normal priced TFTs (Pioneer a bit out of my range). I can't remember the exact price but at around £330 there is a Samsung 32" series 4 in Sainsburys at the minute. Obviously £50 more but if you can go that bit extra then I would vote Samsung myself.

Someone tell me that this is a 1080p model and I take all I said back!!

Voted hot still!! Good price when you consider the 'no brands' that you can get for this money.

Sorry for my ignorance but where does the £20 account cashback come rom??

i have phoned cdiscount about this voucher and they have confirmed that it is £20 for EACH £100 spent, meaning £60 cash back on this tv. i ordered the cheaper JVC model myself. hope this helps to clear up things for those in doubt. you can always confirm this code yourselves by phoning cdiscount and asking directly, as i did.

What about panasonic? in my eyes for quality they're better than sony and samsung. infact their newer tvs incorporate some of the pioneer technology. dont get me wrong though the pios are amazing, i've got a 42" kuro and i havent seen many tvs like it

btw this tv isnt 1080p but it doesnt matter on a tv this size unless you're using it as a monitor

Very good deal for a decent 32" !

Wow this is a killer deal :-D

Seems like a good deal but only 720p?
I've been looking for a new TV for a while, preferrably 1080p, are they are other great deals out there or is 720p more than ok?

Fantastic value for money. Very good TV

I have a Tos and it's a great TV, I agree with you about Samsung being good too but the cheaper Sony TV's are rubbish , you have to spend a fortune to get a decent picture.

So it's not £20 cashback exactly, it's £20 credit that has to be used at cdiscount within 30 days of it being issued. Or am I mistaken?

It's £20 for EACH £100 spent, so £60 - as account credit so not cash.

Yea, for each 100, sorry I missed that out. Thanks for clarifying it.

720 is more than ok on a set this size.

On a 32" screen you will see virtually no difference between a 720p signal and a 1080p one.

From my own experience, I could only see a difference on a screen of 37" or more

CRACKING DEAL!!

720p is more than enough for a 32". Don't believe the marketing hype; there's no value in 1080 on a TV this size.

Would anyone recommend paying the extra to get this over the Nordmende NU323LD 32" HD Ready Digital LCD TV for £249. ?

Nice price

Very nice reviews on amazon

Sorry to be a pain but can someone please explain the £60 discount to me in basic terms! Do we pay £60 less or what? Thanks

You pay full price now.

You then get £60 voucher if you like to buy something else from them within 30days.

I was just about to buy a lovely big TV getting £100 off I thought, then realised I will pay full price for the TV and get a £100 gift if you like.

Great idea IF you want something else from them over £60.

Does that help things???

You should get £60 CREDIT back into your CDiscount account (not cashback) - you still have to spend the listed price for the TV - and then (providing the cashback is credited to your account) get to spend the £60 credit on something else on their site - don't assume this is 100% guaranteed - my Dad bought a Samsung TV when there was supposed to be 20% credit back and didn't receive a thing :x .

IMO the title should be changed to credit NOT cashback as suggested

i almost bought one there, but £60 credit would be a struggle to spend, without paying over the odds for something.

this is not £60 cashback!

Im about to buy two 32" tv's and trying to work out the best way to do this, i guess its buy one, then buy a second one with the credits (and still recieve another £60 credit!) but how long does it take the credit to be added to your acount ?

So whos gonna be the first to start selling thier credits below cost :>)

thanks for that! makes sense now! will see if want to buy anything else first to see if its worth while! thanks for your help tommy

Just reading Amazon reviews and Av forum reviews and it seems this model suffers terribly from motion blur!! a LOT more than other 32" LCD Tv's!!

"Issues: when watching some programms on freeview tiscali - I notice quite a bit of blurring, especially when someone moves their head - there seems to be ghosting"

"The picture quality is good accept there is some ghosting, particularly when watching football"

"No offence to anyone who owns this tv but this tv has the worst motion blur on any lcd i have had and ive had loads, the hitachi i have has nowhere near this amount of motion blur so not great for gaming at all"

Paying over the odds? There are lots of good deals on there daily

If you don't want anything perhaps get someone with good resale value

Where does it say the credit expires after 30 days? My credit had a much longer expire date, some time into next year.

Very selective quoting there - just 3 reviews rated at 3 or 2 stars, but no mention of the 32 4 and 5 star reviews!

Nice TV, I have one I use mainly for PS3 gaming but looks fine on Freeview, can't speak for material like football that can be bad for motion blur though as I don't watch it

10% is good enough for me to stay away from it!! and i didnt go through all the 32 revies looking for other problems, just saying thats all.

I just ordered the TV. I did apply the HOTUKDEALS voucher.
I can't see the account credit. Can someone tell me where I can see my acount credit of 60?
Sorry for my ignorance!

Cracking deal - just bought this to replace my 32" Samsung which got stolen a few weeks back when we had a break-in (scum!!)

Plenty of stuff on that site I could do with, so the £60 cashback into the account will be well spent

I think it takes 24 hours or so to show up. I can't remember exactly but it certainly doesn't show up the same day

Not a bad price but i decided against it and went for the 1080p version.

For those after a 1080p lcd tv go for this one at £400 - amazon.co.uk/Tos…8-1 best purchase i''ve made all year

If anyone does prefer the samsung...

There is also a good deal on the Samsung le32a558 which is 1080p (True HD), this is currently a limited offer at £429, so using the code (in theory) should give you £80 Credit with 'HOTUKDEALS' voucher.
But CDiscount also has cheaper Samsung LE32A457C1DXXU (1366x720) at £329 (£60 Credit)

Its a very tempting offer!

Though im still really waiting till the decent brand 32" tv's come down abit lower
