"A brilliantly performing 1080p set, that's hard to fault at this price." PSW magazine.

This Toshiba 32" 1080p LCD TV has everything you could ask for from a quality 32" and, quite possibly, more to boot! With full 1080p HD resolution you can extract the very best from Blu-ray movies and games. Added to this, the Toshiba 32XV555DB also features 24fps to ensure that motion films are free from jitter and blur. 1080p aside, this Toshiba 32" LCD is still an impressive TV. Dynamic Contrast varies the background lightening to suit different picture requirements. Working closely with this is Luma Sens. This senses the room lighting and adjusts the picture accordingly. Driving all this is Toshiba's Active Vision. This high performance picture processor ensures class-leading picture quality, whatever the source or resolution. The long and the short of it is that, if you're after a future-proof 32" LCD TV with a top quality picture, then the Toshiba 32XV555 is one of the best in its class.

It's not just picture quality in which the 32XV555 excels, either. Few, if any, of its rivals can match the spec. To make the most of HD sources there are no fewer than 3 HDMI sockets. Added to this you'll find twin SCARTs, component and PC inputs. For improved audio performance there's not only an analogue output but also an optical digital one and sub-woofer port, too.

Other features include a "Full power down" option to save on stand-by electricity use, "Games Mode" for enhanced response when gaming and an integrated signal amplifier to make the most of the built-in Freeview TV receiver.

Styled with Toshiba's usual finesse, the 32XV555 isn't the flashiest of LCD TVs but it does benefit from long-lasting style.

For this price, what more could you ask for from a 32" 1080p LCD TV? Not a lot!

Hi, can you explain to me please what an LED TV is? I am afraid you either mean OLED, or you mean LED backlighting, or something else. LED TVs are the huge ones that you see in stadiums and outdoor events made up of clusters of Red, Blue and Green LED's. LED backlit TV's still use LCD technology.

Enlighten us please!

Bought one of these a couple of weeks ago and this is the 2nd time I've seen it for a lot cheaper than I paid grrr!

Can't really fault the tv other than the slow warm up time when you first switch on - just a minor quibble though.

Little difference in picture for five times the price. What're you on about?

Change the record... thats all you ever say in any LCD or Plasma Tv post.
You will be waiting a long time.
The current "LED" tv's are only LED backlight, they are still LCD tv's.

The reviews of them i've seen have all commented on bad backlight uniformity and how inaccurate the colour and greyscale is.

How is your 1959 Braun HF1?

dayyyymn. I was about to buy it till it said instore... The closest RS store is 40 miles away.

So anybody found any of these in store?

This thread seems to be going a little bit off topic. :?

im getting sick about hearing about "LED TVs" the sceen isnt made out of LED, just the backlight. they're still LCDs and nothing special if you ask me. OLED is/will be still far superior

anyway as for the deal this is a real bargain for a 1080p tv, sounds pretty good on these too. heat and rep added
