I am no expert but seem to remember some comments that these Toshibas with the "BV" code are not so good as they are the rebadged Vestel TV's from Turkey. The link below is for a thread from a few weeks ago for this TV. Post #6 is the most useful in regard to the review (hope I have done the link ok!)

Previous thread on this tv
This is a bogus Toshiba. The only thing that's Toshiba is the name on the front of the set. It's designed & made by Vestel in Turkey.

Never seen a good review for a Vestel-made 'Toshiba', e.g. model HL833B ... Which? Score 48%

Not as good as they used to be bro...Toshiba have shifted their focus to cheaply manufacured sets...Your LG is better
Actually, I have the 32 inch tv of this version and so called "vestel" . it is a very good set and works incredibly well.
My mum has the 32" bv701 model too, and i'm quite amazed by the picture quality with her just using the freeview on it.
Hasn't got 3D, freeview HD, smaller than 42", is black and rectangular, cold from me

;-)
Looks pretty good.

I'm still holding out for a 40" sony/samsung for £270 - £280....think I might want too much
I have the 32 inch BV set - its aweful for motion blur, anything panning is unwatchable
had this set awful for ps3 especially fast moving games like fifa ,nfs, etc everything was blurred when action speeded up had to get rid
jopilar

£349 at ASDA for a 40" Sammy.

Shame when name can't keep its name !
They are a budget TV will do for some, they save a lot of money on having a basic interface and less features also on cheaper plastics and either reuse poor quality LG/Samsung screens or use the cheap Chinese makes chimei etc.
i got the 42" version from Argos as a spare TV @ £299.99 just before christmas and its not a bad tv.....not the best but definately not the worse and does the job!
