Beware! It does NOT have Freeview HD

Says in the description : "The Toshiba 40" TV is equipped with a Freeview HD tuner for subscription-free access to 50 digital TV channels and 24 radio stations without the need for an additional set top box."

Then if you look at the specs it's says "built in freeview hd ....... No"

Original Poster

Having a look around the internet seems to indicate that this does have Freeview as per Tesco's description, suggesting it may be an entry error in Tesco's product spec.

Anyone with the set able to clarify either way?

BEWARE no other tv at £274 for a 40" led brand new model has freeview HD, what a bummer

It's 100% certain it does NOT feature Freeview HD. It's not op's fault, it's tesco.

Don't forget topcashback.

Just ordered one and cash back has tracked at just over £10. Not sure if it will be paid though.

Thanks OP

Great price, thanks aronsimmo

Good price for the TV BUT the frequency is displayed on Tesco as 100Hz and is actually only 50Hz. Apart from that, for the size, LED backlit, resolution, power consumption and discount I vote HOT!

THAT'S what this site is all about.

We should reserve bitching about spec to the non-deal posts.

just buy an android stick and stream everything, dont need freeview :P
Tronsmart T428 is a particularly good one I hear....

I had this tele, the picture isn't great. But decent deal for a 40 brand tv and for folks who aren't interested in good quality features/screen.
