Not the best reviews on Amazon. Plus that's the price of a USED device. Refurbs are £60 more.

Actually amazons grading is not like that used very good can mean pretty much anything to opened box and re-sealed and it does state used in the description.... but there not normally used much and Amazon Used Good and Very Good are often refurbs....
I have had this tv earlier this year from Amazon and can say the picture quality was excellent and well worth investing at this price. Had a few items from Amazon Warehouse now and had to return one as faulty the others as brand spanking new.....

Worth a 'no risk' punt if you have a £300 ish budget.
Been looking at LED TVs for 2 weeks now. Dismissed this when £350 due to poor reviews about Toshiba build quality and the fact it only comes with a 3 month warrantee...
For £308, I couldn't say no... fingers crossed!
Hot deal for me.
Review here whathifi.com/rev…738 . Verdict 3/5

For
A lot of screen for the money; slim and smart; bright colours, clean, smooth motion

Against
Poor sound; no network features; picture could be better

'Stripped-down in terms of tech and unable to match the performance of the best'

Another review here (32" screen) trustedreviews.com/Tos…iew Verdict 6/10

'With its bold attempt to make edge LED a truly mass market technology, we really wanted to love Toshiba’s 32SL738. But in the end the compromises it asks you to make in terms of both features and performance are more extensive than we feel comfortable with, even at the sub-£350 level.'

Based at £200 more and isnt network and sound kinda mute on a 42" its not exactly a bedroom TV it will most lightly get surround sound?

LMAO that was cracker
Sorry, wouldn't touch a Toshiba TV for any money. Bought one 42 LCD around 3 years ago, 13 months in a couple of very thin vertical lines, next couple of month more and more, after 18 months the TV wasn't fit for use, even as a games monitor, no thanks. Plenty of alternatives out there, steer clear of Toshiba in my book
Think I'm going to change brand next too. My current Toshiba has a "noisy backlight" basically if the sound is low you can hear a hum from the screen depending on if whatever is on happens to be light or dark. Seems to be a common problem searching online. However I may have just been unlucky. I know the next tv I get I'm going to make sure it has a 5 year warranty though.
I have a 32" Toshiba, no problem with the picture but the remote is awful, barely works

I had forgotten all about this as have a Harmony One and the sounds etc goes through an amp so only ever have to turn the power on and off of the tv. Toshiba seem to design their remotes so you have to be pointing straight at it, same for a Toshiba DVD player I have. Handy for not accidentally pressing something but annoying when you actually need to.
