I bought this a couple of weeks ago for the father in law.

Set it up and the picture was awful, although not altogether sure if this is down to his aerial set up/signal.

I returned and bought Samsung 4k from Currys ebay for £270 due tomorrow.

I'll know then if it was the telly or it's the signal.

Please let us know. Did you play a movie through a memory stick or blue-ray player?
Or at did you try 101 HD ready channel?
I just tried to get a decent terrestrial channel, however when I reset up his orig 28" TV (Sharp I think) the picture was spot on suggesting it was the TV.

I packed everything back up the best I could and LIDL accepted it back no issue without opening the box. I wasnt sure if they would open and check it.

That's your answer then!
I dont make assumptions at my time of life. I'll know once I've hooked the new tv up.

The picture was really bad!

Buy 4k now.
Bought one today for the ‘study’. Set it up and turned on terrestrial TV and picture was awful. That was before I realised I was watching a compressed channel (ITV3) and I was watching Bugsy Malone from 1976! Switched to 101 BBC HD and picture was fine. Then streamed Sky through the Xbox and again picture was fine. Destiny 2 was good. For £200 you get £200 worth of TV. Nice to see the free sat aerial input and it’s compatible with Alexa.
