I don't think Toshiba make TVs any more? Is this one of those Turkish ones with the Toshiba brand slapped on it? Nothing wrong with that as long as you know what you're getting and it won't be latest technology.

£100 more gets you into premium brand territory so if you're going to be spending a lot of time in front of this (typically if it's your main TV) you may want to consider finding the extra cash. If you do it's best buying from JL (5 year warranty) or Richer Sounds (6 year warranty).

Hot for what it is though.

Thanks for posting. Heat.
Is it good? I would mainly use it for ps4 and netflix
Really tempted by this as my tv is on the way out.
Only issue is delivery seems a bit sketchy and not available for store collection.

Apparently we aren't getting one yet

I think I saw it on HUKD a while back.
Toshiba used Vestel to produce many low/mid priced TV's, I think they still made their own high end models until more recently but now it looks like Compal have the rights to use the name (as per link above) but also there's mention of Vestel and Toshiba doing a joint effort, Vestel make the product with design input from Toshiba engineers. Then further confusion that Hisense buying the brand (i thought Compal bought it?!) -

Simply put, Toshiba don't make TV's - someone else does

It's still on sale at Tesco, just its not ultra HD. This is picture from today but i think it's a local deal - West Bromwich34701963-bSGSs.jpg
i had this tv, had to return it the OS was so slow and didn’t have important apps (to me anyways) like smart iptv on the store.
Hi

Sorry i double checked mine
Its toshiba but the ultra hd version
So weird because me and my cousin were just searching for TVs and this came up and we said "let's not post it on HotUkdeals just incase it goes out of stock"

If it was 3p more you would be able to get it for 10% off as a student.

The venture should be called 'ToshTel' or 'Vestiba'
I got one of these for £299 at xmas from amazon for my son for his bedroom and it works perfectly
Would this be OK to use as a second monitor screen?
Oos
Just noticed - Collection not available and Delivery will take 10 to 21 days! That's just ludicrous. I didn't know Currys was based in China,

Great TV for the price. There is an HDR version and a non-HDR version, the latter of which has more inputs, so check which one you're buying.
I'd go for Hisense if you want a half decent set at this price, otherwise buy digi whatever the Tesco brand is for the £200 mark. I wouldn't buy a Tosh, if you got Hisense floating about

I agree. I've got the 55" Hisense and it's absolutely brilliant.
Bought from John Lewis, great tv internet speed is surprisingly good for Netflix etc

Reviews from people who own the set are very good on Currys website so definitely a hot deal. If Toshiba are licensing their name they are likely to be keen for any product carrying it to be of suitable quality. Even some of the top branded TV's have at at least some parts made by other people. For the price this is a scorching deal.

Great deal on a very nice TV, shame I just don't have the space!
Is this suitable for a pc monitor? ie, has it got chroma 444?

Sorry to be a pain, could you recommend me a TV (for a £100 - £150 more), if it's not too much trouble Thanks

Hi. No trouble but I'm afraid I'd only be able to do a search on line as I have no specialist knowledge. That budget does sound very low - what size are you looking for?
I think they've all been snapped up so maybe it should be expired.
Any luck with the delivery? I'm still waiting for mine. Ordered 11.08
