Use code PRO10 to save 10% This Toshiba 43” TV is compatible with HDR10 and HLG for the best colour realism possible. As well as extending the range of colours, HDR also delivers brighter whites and darker blacks, helping to give this TV stunning levels of contrast. HDR10 and HLG formats are both covered. HDR10 is widely used on UHD gaming consoles from Sony and Microsoft. HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma HDR) is a broadcast and user generated standard format that is set to become the standard for transmitting 4K signals.

Dolby Vision for dramatic imaging
Dolby Vision optimises the HDR format to give quite simply the sharpest, most accurate images possible. Dolby Vision-equipped TVs decode both generic HDR content and content that's specifically been encoded in Dolby Vision - a leading format in Hollywood and cinemas. Dolby Vision also adjusts the picture to take full advantage of each display's characteristics and presents an optimized picture for each scene in specially mastered content.

Might wanna ad AO as the seller mate
I couldn't find a proper review of this new model anywhere, on paper it sounds amazing (even Alexa integration!). It isn't easy to get Dolby Vision certification, at this price it's almost unheard of.

If someone has come across a review I'd appreciate your giving us a heads up.
Refresh rate is 50hz

It sounds better than it is. All of the new Vestel made TV sets have Dolby Vision, even the new AO home brand ones (Techwood AO8UHD series).

The actual TV's are ok if you're an undemanding viewer. Colours, contrast, and motion processing are basic, similar Samsung's base 4K models. The smart OS and TV guide are sluggish too.

So if I wanted a good 4K TV for gaming and movies it would be best to look elsewhere?
Voted hot. Will Work well if connected to external smart box like xbox one s or apple tv 4k.

Head added. Really good price for a 4k TV. I'll probably pay a bit more and get one without that fat bezel at the bottom of the screen, as I don't think it will look good on a wall.

I think the bottom bezel on this one is actually a front facing speaker, rather than a down or back firing one like on other TV's.
Looks like my old Pany plasma!

It's a vestel panel. Utterly strange how Toshiba would take a poor panel and add onkyo speakers to it.
TV's are about picture first.

Great price though still. Great for a bedroom or kids TV.

It is a front firing Onkyo speakers and the sound is really good - and looks much better than another sound bar attached.

I have this TV and I would highly recommend it for gaming and movies too. It has good HDR brightness comparative to some £600 (on a good deal) TVs - tested using game that allow to adjust HDR brightness to see if there are changes.

And with Dolby Vision, quality is really good.

I think everyone trashing this TV has never even seen it with there eyes! I bet you wont find any other even close in quality below £400.

'Allo Tosh

UI looks a bit yesteryear but it does have the Alexa integration plus breathed on (front-facing I'm guessing by the huge chin) Onkyo sound.
For less than £230 which is normally the realm of cheap tat from Alba, Bush, Blaupunkt, Matsui, Saisho now Logik, Goodmans, Hitachi, Polaroid and some of Sharp's sets, this Toshiba purchase makes more sense than the others. Yes it's almost certainly also a Vestel made panel, but it's got a couple of +ve's that its half-brothers don't have, main one being it's a 4k.

Customer write-ups are all fairly positive, but that needs to be put into context, as it appears price was the central focus of purchase.

As it's from AO, fairly sure it's a new TV set, at a price others charge for a typical refurb.
On theirsite they're selling it for £279 if you buy directly.

I've never been a fan of Toshiba. Looking back at all the products I've seen over the years as a consumer, retailer and a repairer, Toshiba's products always looked a little less elegant than the products sold by Sony and most of what Panasonic offered at the same time (now a battle fought out mostly between Samsung and LG).
Toshiba were never big hitters when it came to being at the forefront of consumer tech, still, it IS a 4k set for 720/1080p money.

Here's some specs for a related set
displayspecifications.com/en/…675

With a 2 core CPU, I'm expecting this isn't going to be a quick responding TV.

Thanks for the post. Just tried the code, and had this: 'This code can't be applied to your order.'. Anyone else having this problem?

Like looking at a TV set from the 1960's, 9" screen in a box the size of a Ford Fiesta.

To second what akramfaisal said, I would also recommend this TV, I use it for gaming on an xbox one s and the 4k upscaling looks great. HDR isn't as good as other higher end TVs but for the price you can't complain. No other model at this price comes close in terms of quality.
My order arrived today. Bought as a replacement for my old Sony Bravia in my bedroom.

I'm actually surprised by how good it is. Default picture setting are pretty crap, but it looks much better than I had expected after tinkering with the settings.

The sound isn't wonderful, as on almost all TV's, but it's got Audio output options sorted. It can connect over Bluetooth too, but audio is out of sync when using Internet streaming services.

The smart OS is pretty simple, but it covers a lot of services (Amazon Prime, Netflix, All UK catch-up services, YouTube...etc).

4K HDR picture looks best on either Game or Sports modes. The rest of the modes blow out the highlights and crush the blacks. The screen uniformity is good too, the dirty screen effect is less pronounced than it is on my Samsung 50MU6120. The panel is IPS so black levels aren't great, but viewing angles are ok, I assume the panels are from LG.

I'd be happy with it at £280, so more than happy for this price.
