Cracking deal! I’ve got the 55” version of this in my living room. Was waiting for this size for the bedroom!
Is there any point getting a 40" or 43" 4k ultra HD Tv? Ask as a lot of advice on the internet says there is no point over a full HD unless you are sat very close to the screen.

If the TV is very close (e.g. using it as a monitor) then it can make a big difference. Not so much for normal distance for sofa viewing, but it can access more content than a Full HD TV. It will be able to play 4K HEVC & HDR content over USB. 4K HDR over iPlayer content is significantly better than what they offer over the standard HD streams (less artefacts and macro blocking, even if the resolution difference isn't as obvious).

There aren't many good quality FullHD TV's around these days anyway.

The photo of the TV is incorrect by the way, the U2963 has feet at either side, not a central stand.

Yes, only select programmes are available in 4K. It isn't usually advertised in a TV's spec, but most recent 4K TV's can access 4K content on iPlayer, apart from the 2018 TV's from Philips.
