A vestel for sure
Hisense bought vestal out which had bought toshiba. Yep still a vestal no matter what brand is put on it like jvc is currys but made by vestal. Wishrd i knew that before i. Ought the JVC TV from currys. My sisters tv from sainsburys branded one has the same menu and options and my remote can change her channels over.lol

Hisense bought Toshiba's global TV business, not Vestel. Vestel have only recently started a licencing deal selling Tosh branded TV's so I suspect they'll continue to do so until the end of their contract or some other deal is arranged. Sadly, it means more substandard products being sold under a former good name. As you've found out there is no difference (aside from price) between a supermarket own brand and a Vestel "Toshiba"
