This tv deals are enough to drive you nuts! Lol
Had a look while I was in Costco earlier as sometimes they have the items in before they go onto offer but they didn’t have this one. They did have another Toshiba 43” but another model number

tempted by this for my bedroom to replace my LG 42” plasma tv. Can’t see any reviews online so wonder if this model is only for Costco?

It's just brand new so no reviews are available. It's not even on Toshiba's site yet.

The panel is the same as the 43" UL5A which is widely available, so worth checking out reviews for that, ignoring the software side as the UL/VL series uses Vestel SmartHub.

Thank you, will check the reviews out

wasnt sure if it’s an exclusive model, just looking for a decent tv for the bedroom to replace my LG plus ideal having 4 HMDI ports as mine only has 3 and need 4 and then having 4K too

Yeah unless sometimes there website has items that can be purchased by non members

i think quite a few people can become members now in there compared to years back.

wirh social distancing if I get it I might order through the website as trying to get it into the car on my own I’ll probably drop it trying to get it in

I’ve just got visions of me dropping it or catching it. Good time to upgrade to 4K as just waiting on sky coming out to install sky Q and then an excuse to buy a 4K blu ray player

On the link which shows the online brochure if you flick to the front it mentions member only savings in your local warehouse so presumed that meant in store too

i asked the guy while in my local if they had them and he said sometimes the offers only come in ready for the day and some are already in the warehouse for sale at a higher price then reduced for the offer period
I think there are 2 sections, in store first and then online later on

Thanks , hopefully it’s a decent enough panel in it for 4K then I’ll just sell my LG 3D tv as bad that a while now and fancy something newer
I found a polish review for the 55" version of this TV. It's quite positive (awarded 5*), and photos also show the remote, which is a big improvement on the non-android Tosh remotes.

videotesty.pl/recenzja/2263/toshiba-55ua3a63dg-test-niedrogiego-smart-tv-4k/

It looks like this TV has been available in other countries for a few months. They were probably waiting for the Freeview Play update for Android TV before releasing it in the UK.

The remote looks pretty good, Netflix and YouTube at the push of a button as well as voice control.

Had a look online last night and couldn’t find anything, I know the do them as when I got my parents cctv system managed to get a code online
So what's the returns policy if you buy it in-store?

I’m sure it’s a 90 day return policy for a refund on big electrical items purchased in the warehouse.

I know if buying online you can take stuff back to the warehouse for refunds as well save sending it back online

least the bonus buying from Costco with the free extended warranty as well

Shame the online price ain't the same as if I go for this, it's another £15 on top making it £295.

It’s saying shipping included on the item page unless they add a courier charge in top and surely once Monday comes the price should be updated on the Costco site to reflect the offer price starting on Monday

The dilema is I'm also eying the LGUM7450 for £283 and I believe the offer expires tonight. If it's tomorrow then I can see if the Toshiba drops in price.

Well generally LG is solid, that particular model has the magic remote and it's said that the software is really good. There is no Dolby Vision or Android TV though.
The magazine shows itwill be £249.99 inc VAT, inc shipping from Monday

Both will be similar quality, assuming Android TV is tuned well enough (it looks like it is from the video review posted above).

Be wary of the low end LG TV's that use RBGW panels, the 43UM7450 is not full RGB - which means each pixel can't display a full range of colour. It can cause dithering on content displaying variations of a colour, and can be difficult to get an accurate picture. It also doesn't help with the already poor black levels and contrast on IPS panels. It's more of a problem on the larger sizes though, it's not as noticable over on a 43".

WebOS is excellent, it covers pretty much everything anyone would need from a TV. It can be laggy on the low end models though, so keep that in mind. Android TV is still playing catch-up with WebOS and Samsung's Tizen OS.

It will be decent, but miracles in picture quality can't be expected from a low-end TV. All have similar flaws at this price range (low brightness, low refresh rate...etc).

In your opinion, this or the LG UM7450?

If the LG was also £250 with a 5 year warranty I'd go for that. It isn't though, so I'd take a punt and go for the Toshiba.
