5 year warranty at Costco too

Might have bought of hasn't ordered the Hisense a few days ago.
Heat
Bought one similar from Costco a few months ago - very good, but be aware that Toshibas have slightly more limited apps available (unless this is a newer model and that aspect’s been improved?). Bought a Roku Express on another deal to get Amazon Prime on it.
Does any one know if this is a good TV for the spec/price? Or is there better out there for the equivalent price? I need a new TV but am getting baffled by all the different deals lately.

Also would like to know the same. Reviews on the smaller 4k tvs (sub 50in) are lacking. Which is unfortunate while I'd like a 55" telly, 43" will be a squeeze as it is

Specs here, not as wide as it looks, obviously not Samsung or LG thin. Bit heavier than Costco list it though.

Which Hisense did you go if you don't mind me asking? Ive been looking at a 43 inch one but wonder how people get on with them
I got the 49" version of this from Tesco for £269 2 weeks ago (deal was posted on here) and for the money it's ok but I'm fairly disappointed with picture quality having tried many different settings and modes etc. Can't expect much at this price point I guess but I wouldn't exactly recommend this set
I got this, same price at Tesco last week. No issues with it, upgraded to Netflix UHD and it's crystal clear. Change picture to dynamic improves it. Also, fast enough frame rate for PS4. Hot from me

I got the 43" 6100...it was on here for 237 using the eBay voucher at eBay AO shop.... couldn't resist at that price Hisense seem to have a good rep.
I bought this for the bedroom, not bad for the price. I got it for £254 with black friday discount. 5 year guarantee pushed me.

Anyone know if you can get full 4:4:4 at 60hz if used as a montior with this set?
Crazy cheap. Great find
If this is the same as the ao deal black Friday week I don't recommend it. Been trying to return mine. Froze both times I tried to use an app and the SD picture is rubbish on all settings I've tried
Purchased the 55inch on black Friday still no delivery. 1st excuse from Costco was delivery van broke down 2nd excuse was we forgot to load it on the van the day it was to be delivered. I honestly give up with Costco shitty delivery service

Which apps did it freeze on? Mine seems OK. I've only used Netflix, iplayer and YouTube tho. Think the ao version was U this is V, don't know the difference tho. Maybe newer version.

It's either not 4k because it's a 8+2bit panel or maybe it's an rgbw panel? Like cheaper LG tvs are.
I can't recall which is worse or if it would even matter at this size.

I'd imagine the former. This model seems to get quite a few recommendations at the sub £500 price point when I was looking (yet still no proper reviews that I can find!).

I also got one from Tesco. I was very disappointed with the very uneven blacks, especially towards the edges. That and the hopeless range of streaming options were too much to live with, I knew that I'd always be annoyed with it. As expected it's made by Vestel.
I returned it and got the smaller HD Sharp (made by UMC) it's crap too. Keeps freezing when streaming and then it reboots, very irritating.
I guess you get what you pay for.
Back to my horrible Blaupunkt (UMC) for the second tv, at least it honest about being crap.

If you have more money, go for LG, they manufacture their own panels

The problem with Vestel panels (Vestel made Toshiba TV for the past 2 years. Hisense will make them from 2019 onwards)

Is that you can't get colour accuracy and the native contrast is poor and there are lots of banding in dark scenes. Your Toshiba would be sharing the same panels as luxor, Polaroid, Bush, digihome and cheap Panasonics.

If you try and get the best picture on cinema mode expecting an accurate and engaging presentation, you will be disappointed. You're actually better off setting it to dynamic or natural mode even though you know it makes no attempt to get close to the dark room film standard.
Bought this telly on Black Friday with extra £15 off online so £255 and it arrived on cyber Monday- very impressed with the telly and a complete bargain.

I think you get what you pay for, ultimately. I got this TV at £290 a few months ago and am very happy with it. Picture looks great, but sound is poor. Good range of apps as far as I'm concerned, and they've all worked fine when I've tried them. For this price my (fairly brief) research suggested you won't get any better - it's not perfect by any means but I'm very happy with it.
Very happy with mine.

At a third of the price, sure its not as good as my Samsung ue49ks7000, but it's no way near a third as bad.

The sound actually looks like it would be decent? Audio system is done by Onkyo with an integrated subwoofer and '360' sound they claim is good from any angle, are you sure you bought the same model?

I got the 'U' version of this, not the V, from Richer Sounds for Black Friday, hopefully arriving soon and will give my full thoughts on it. Couldn't resist 6years warranty and such a good price. Anyone considering I recommend watching the video on the official product page, but again I don't know the U/V differences, if any:

Yes I definitely have this model. I feel its the first flat screen TV where I've ever noticed that the sound isn't great, but I'm also willing to concede that I'm no audiophile and don't really know what I'm talking about.

As a fairly self proclaimed audiophile (with a music degree) I'd say I put my trust in Onkyo quite happily, but at the same time TV speakers will never quite cut it. I'll have to have a good listen myself when it arrives!

But if you're unhappy with it I would recommend a sound bar regardless, I'm already considering one either way.

The V model has a dual tuner (DVBS2 + DVBT2) so you can get all the Free to air UK satellite channels if you have a dish, as well as the Freeview HD channels via aerial, it doesn't have the Freesat EPG. The U model has a single DVBT2 tuner for Freeview HD.

Interesting, thanks! Mine arrived last night and I'm very happy with it, for the price it's good, not the best but very good for the amount I feel. Had no idea it had Bluetooth also.

It did freeze on me once, annoyingly, trying to watch a live video on YouTube (which I think was why, as it was live) and required and hard reset, so hopefully no other hiccups! Will test ps4 pro later.
