Motion rate is shocking. No thanks for me
Picture is generally good, but the slow response time of the remote is shocking-mine went back for this reason alone.
so it's a big slow tv with shocking responce times and way below par 50Hz. not really a bargain.

Reviewed at £479, I assume you haven't used one?
Think I will give a wide birth, these are some argos reviews, there are good reviews as well.

28 January 2015

I have to reset the tv every few days to keep it connected to the internet. It continues to stick on a "demo mode" which leaves it unable to any of it's smart features and without a tv guide

Looks ok but quality is low
14 January 2015

Display itself was no problem but the smart TV could not connected with WiFi ( internet connection with line was ok ) and just crashed like old computer

30 December 2014

This t.v has been such a headache trying to get on to the Internet couldn't. Get it out Of demo mode even went and bought a booster eventually managed to resolve the problem. But the same thing happened the next day looks like it will be coming back to the store.
Very dissapointed

re above
great thing about argos store is if your TV is like that or has any issues you just return it and they give you your money back.
I think the folks on this site r harsh. I have just bought another similar Toshiba and yes the remote does take the biscuit very slow response but if u r like many people who have sky or virgin or talk talk etc u only ever use the tv remote to switch on and off the tv end of the night, 99% of the time u r using the sky remote so not an issue.

As for the smart features again many folks don't bother with that. I have a smart tv so does mum and ex none of us bother with it. In fact show me a 47 in tv with over 100 quid of cinema tickets making the 47in 250 net pounds. The pic is fine so is the sound
buying one domnt forget quid Co for a few extra pounds off....
colour in mine has just packed in ... everything's green tinge... no good for Rugby tomorrow ...
It was a Hitachi .. only 2 year old and was back twice for issues whilst under warranty. more trouble than its worth to get fixed so this TV has came at tight time for me
This TV has got very good reviews elsewhere, and if I hadn't have bought a different TV recently, I would have gone for this. A lot of screen real estate, good picture quality and sound and smart features isn't bad for Two and a half hundred quid (if you are in any way interested in the cinema vouchers). Heated accordingly!
same tv offered from tesco direct with 5 year warranty
Can't see the free 5 year warranty at Tesco? Just says add 5 yr protection for 99.99 or some such
4 hdmi's, 2 usb's and satellite tuner! Looks interesting. If only pq was in par with samsung or sony... need 2 buy to check this...
Thanks for this, been swaying from one tv to another
bought one but had to return it as I couldn't get it to connect wirelessly. could only get hooked up using ethernet cable which was no use because of tvs location. can't comment on much else as never kept it long enough. stand seemed a bit flimsy but I had it wall mounted anyway. ..
