As usual, just a reminder that Toshiba doesn't make it's own TVs (like every other brand apart from LG, Sony and Samsung).

This is a Turkish Vestel TV. Go for a Hisense instead.

They also have a 43 inch full HD smart tv for 264.99 delivered with the same 5 year guarantee. Here is the link:-

Isn't there a surcharge for people without Costco accounts?

Yes, it's 5%. In this case that would be £16.49 but if you join Costco as an online member the fee is £15 incl VAT. You would save the £15 back over the next 12 months easily.

I read somewhere that this model has issues when connected to xbox one and ps4. if you intend to use for gaming, check out the forums. I searched for this model and " game lag". i think it has trouble with displaying 4k gaming.

I gather Panasonic have stopped selling Vestel manufactured TVs, did you forget them or am I mistaken?
Hisense are terrible when things go wrong... sent my 49in one back because of a firmware issue.... took weeks for them to attempt a resolution, by then I'd had a refund !
LG or Samsung next time (_;)
Need some advice folks. .I've been looking for a new TV and found a nice LG which is approx 1500 in curry's. .the picture is stunning. .it really stood out above the rest. .tbh I have never really studied the technical side of things I tend to go by the picture. ..2 questions. ...is the price too much. ...and will I get anything better for the money. ..hopefully someone will help me out. .thanks cazzie x😊

Doesn't really matter who makes it, I have the 43 Inch version also made by Vestel and it's as good as my Sony, if not slightly better and that was twice the price.

No, it's not. The picture quality may well be stunning though be in no doubt these are poorly manufactured devices with inherent issues.

Surely picture quality is kind of what you want in a tv...

If you have any evidence to back up your claims feel free to share

This deal represents fantastic value for money money.

Your opinion and choice. I place a high value on reliability and have seen too many faulty vestel TVs to consider them reliable. Panasonic thought the same having taken a bashing following their use of Vestel rebadged TVs.
I don't have proof to show you though if you Google vestel reliability you'll likely find why I won't buy.
The warranty removes most of the concern in this case though I suspect it will be needed.

Fair enough, but reliability with any brand can be hit and miss - when I worked at Currys most of the TV returns we had were Samsung, so you have to question how much extra you're willing to pay for the perceived reliability of a brand.
