I've a Panasonic Plasma and I swear to Allah, Buddha and all the Gods in the heavens that the picture quality, in my opinion, is simply untouchable. Blacks are black and whites are white. It really comes into its own when streaming content via Plex from computer to TV when its upscaling capabilities kick ass! Why am I telling you this here? Now? I've no idea. But that isn't important. What's really important is that I have been dying to get that off my chest for about 6 years now. Thanks for listening. xx

Low end tosh is just that. If you're going to buy a Vestel, ignore the badge. Picked up a Medion with 3y for my dad at 300 from Aldi

However, are you sure this model is Vestel?

Hdr10 Dolby vision etc those aren't in base models

All Toshiba TV's are Vestel aren't they, regardless of spec?

We bought a Toshiba last year, panel failed within 3 months. Sent it off for repair under warranty, they returned it saying no fault found. Had it out with the retailer who eventually refunded, but have sworn off all these nasty Vestel sets now - it's just not worth the hassle.

Not sure as I remember Toshiba TV being bought by hisense. But not sure where the boundaries are between true Toshiba and vestel sets.

This was only at the back end of 2017 though, I guess it'd be difficult to tell where Vestel stopped and Hisense picked up.

Funnily enough we replaced our dreadful Toshiba with a Hisense and it's night and day - so much better and so far it's been faultless.

I still have my 12year old panny plasma 1080p (one of the first ones). Still going strong but modern games like blacks and it’s starting to get harder to play on it.

Ah ok. I think Toshiba TVs are globally owned by hisense, but vestel wild be a licensing deal for Europe (in the same way Philips TVs in the USA are distinct from Europe and Asia)

I made a mistake of going to their shop to buy a new moto g6plus phone (only availiable from them THANKS Motorola!) and a few moments after purchase I saw on the box that it was not dual sim.Box still sealed and unopened ,had only just left the shop. I went back in and They point blank refused to refund me their “help” desk was unhelpful and when I wrote to them they ignored the request and told me as THEY had not responded in their normal timescale they thought I may have gone back to the shop. All delaying and browning off tactics. OK my mistake but decent retailers care enough about thrir customers to understand that this sometimes happens and correct it. Go to John Lewis or Amazon for example.I now despise this company including all their group shops of Currys , PC World, Dixons and Carphone Warehouse. I will never buy from any of them again. Be forwarned they are absolutely awful if you make a mistak.

Well I haven't bought a phone with them as yet, but purchased multiple other items including a GoPro last year. I took it for a holiday and while i left it open on for few moments while changing a battery someone splashed water on it. Anyway after the holidays I went back to Currys and said it stopped working. They asked me if I prefer a refund a replacement. Asked for a refund and few minutes later I had my money back. How about that for customer service? I'm not saying they're amazing but I'll certainly be shopping with them again

In the past few months I've brought back a triple set of BT house phones, about 5 days warranty left...straight forward swap for today's equivalent model that were actually more expensive than the set I brought back....a JVC 32" smart telly that wasn't turning on first time, around 7 months old, again straight swap for another, tbh I've no complaints about them.
Does this include 5yrs warranty

For free? From Curry's? You've more chance of getting a handjob off the store manager than a free 5 year warranty from that lot.

Could have been the store you went too, other staff at other stores could be better in customer service.
