Very dull screens. Cheap horrible remote on this Vestel. Poor set up menu.
£429 at John(athon) Lewis, so ask for a price match.
£389.89 at Costco.

Thanks @JarrodWRX I have added what I believe is the item name into the title. If mistaken please edit. The only thing I couldn't make out was what year this model is i.e is it the 2018 version or an older one?
£30 saving not really worth it.

I assume the DG in the second link is comparable to the DB on sale at Tesco but I’m happy to be corrected if I’m wrong.

Looks like an IPS panel, 8 bit + FRC, 60Hz and 3 HDMIs which I guess is not surprising at this price?

Hi,
Thanks, but it’s a 55v not 55u, I’ll change this back

Even their OLEDs come with a horrible, cheap remote. Feels like it might blow away in a strong breeze, despite being physically quite large. It also comes with a smaller remote that's entirely pointless, since it's literally just the bigger one with half the buttons removed. The point of including a secondary remote is for it to have a touch pad or something to compensate for the lack of buttons.

The software on the OLED is also pretty wretched and missing tons of extremely basic functionality, like colour adjustment for example. Every one of their presets has a massive oversaturation of green and there's no way to fix it. Watching football looks like they're playing on a fluorescent snooker table, even with the brightness and OLED light turned way down. The picture is significantly worse than the £350 LG LCD that my mum bought last year, which is quite a feat when you're working with the same LG panel that goes into every other OLED on the market and is capable of looking absolutely beautiful when driven correctly.

Even then you could forgive it being so naff out of the box for the price, so long as it was possible to calibrate it, but it's not because the basic adjustment settings required simply don't exist in their software. Vestel are utterly clueless.
Some of the photos uploaded by peahead on avforums of his toshiba oled look pretty good to me,
if it dropped in price a bit to £650 £700 would be tempted, he seems very happy with it.

Informed discussion on deals like this is essential to save unsuspecting loyal Toshiba/Panasonic customers from being tricked into buying inferior products – especially considering LG and Hisesnse offer better TV’s for similar prices.
Same tech as all Samsung QLED.

Same tech as all Samsung QLED.

The basic tech is the same. Samsung's QLED TV's are surpassed only by OLED at the moment though. QLED Black levels, colour gamut, HDR performance....etc are miles ahead of this TV.

Please Post the link to this model number where it is on sale for £429. (Not to mention the £20 worth of clubcard vouchers which can be tripled to spend on Tesco clubcard partners)
Well hay there little buddy glad you took time to answer, I'm going by what you've posted at the top of the page £399 £428.99 7%

So if the original price was £428.99 then the saving is just £29.99, can only go by the information you've posted!

Clubcard isn't worth the paper it's printed on since they changed the value.
Once again, where is this model of tv £429 ?
