Even better on this model, this morning. It didn't drop yesterday with the 10% off code. Now it's the same price as direct with at at £349 + 5% off with code PICKME5

Worth hopping on if you've been waiting around for a better price on it.
Considering the size, it's very reasonable for those on a budget budget and want HDR10 / Dolby vision.

This is great price I'm hoping on black friday to get one for about 250 fingers crossed xx
Damn this is good I thought it was hard seeing the hisense ones and trying to wait till black Friday but this raised the bar

Toshiba are just Vestel's nowadays, you're probably better off with the HiSense TBH.

Still not bad for a 58 inch - Not seen any reviews or anything but cant imagine it's that bad for the price
Oh no, not at all. price for the size. The HiSense will probably have it's Smart features maintained for a bit longer though. Vestel have a nasty habbit of dropping support after 18 months once the new sets are out.
UGH!!!
Surely we won't get a better deal Black Friday than this??

I am so tempted.
Though I just can't do it this soon to black friday.
Also undecided on what size to go for. Was thinking 50 or 65" but at this price...probably not worth going 65" cuz this is getting ridiculous in the price gap haha
I was looking at this yesterday, someone posted availabilty on the ao.com website for £349. I am so tempted but just can't find any mention of it anywhere apart from at the ao.com website. I'm guessing it's a unique set just to them. The only downside I can see is that it's only a dual core cpu so maybe navigating the menus could be a bit slow. Seems to have positive reviews on the ao website though.

I only want a tv for gaming and bit of netlflix, this is listed as 50hz so that would be a downfall for me I think. It does mention a game mode though so I wonder if I can get up to 60fps with that.

Saw this HISENSE H55B7100UK 55" Smart 4K Ultra HD HDR LED TV through currys/ebay which does 60hz listed at £349 and as the 5% off available. The sound is a bit week at 8w but not a problem for me as I use external 2.1 PC speakers. I've not had any experience of the brand though, don't know wether anyone else can comment on wether they're any good.
Edit: £349 with 5 year warranty from John Lewis & free delivery or £349 at Richer Sounds with 6 year warranty but collect in store only. Decisions, decisions lol

50hz and 60hz are interchangeable on TVs these days. A 50hz TV is also a 60hz TV, a 100hz TV is also a 120hz TV.

Let me know if you go for it and what you think!
I used to be able to get a discount with JL but I don't think it applies to TV's anymore
Be amazing if it does. Might have to look it up lol.

Thanks, why would anyone choose to watch in 50hz if you can do 60 or is it that some things force you to?

It's tied to the frame rate of the input source.

ah ok so then I should be fine if I use the right input/lead
Damn so I have a debate now. I think my discount still works with JL.
So I could get this Toshiba or the Hisense for just short of £310...
Both seem really cheap. I have zero experience with either brand other than a Toshiba laptop which has been great.

It's that or wait for black friday. £310 for a 55" seems amazing, not sure if black friday will beat that.
Kinda had my eyes set on 60" or 65" though but now I am thinking will there be that much difference really, and is it worth the extra cash...not sure if it is. Pretty sure 55" would be good enough.
I'm coming from a 40"

Both are very similar in picture quality and features. The smart platform is slightly faster on the Hisense, but the speakers will likely be better on the Toshiba.

So an Android tv would work? I don’t want an additional box.
