Talk to me:thumbsup:

Its a bit of a marmite camcorder by reviews, some like it some hate it. I can also see comments back in Aug 2009 that it was available then for under £100 so no doubt this is a price that its discounted to from time to time.

No image stabilisation, no lens cap, suggestions of poor quality photos and an ugly design put me off. But it is a very good price for branded HD camcorder (although I'm concerned about probable licensing of Toshiba name to other companies to manufacture under, possibly in the same way Hitachi seem to have done).…4uI

Heres a decent review! Might be worth a look if your wanting it, doesn't look great.

Great Review, shame he had nothing good to say about the Camcorder, freezing Cold and worth watching the review before you waste your money!!

Dear oh dear. The Youtube Review does nothing to sway my vote, however at £100, it is cheap. Shame, you get what you pay for.

Did a lot of research on a (cheap) pocket HD camcorder and bought the Flip Ultra HD and the Kodak ZI8 to compare side by side.

The Flip went back as the stabilisation on the Kodak made an enormous difference to the picture quality and although the Flip has 8gb of inbuilt memory (about 120mins), you have to download to a computer before you can take any more video. The Kodak uses cheap SD cards and has a 5mp still camera, with the Flip you have to take a photo off the video shot.

Biggest advantage of the Flip was the ability to use AA batteries, but IMHO the Kodak is a far superior and much more flexible camcorder.

The Toshiba is identical to several unbranded camcorders out of the same Chinese factory and is not up to the quality that Toshiba is famous for. Spend another £20 from Amazon and get the Kodak. It is an excellent camcorder, beautifully made and has received rave (just Google) reviews.

As a professional video producer, I can tell you the Kodak ZI8 is the best budget camera to go for at the moment. Superior video quality to the Flip and it has a mic socket.

The clear winner at the moment.

Kodak Zi8 gets my vote for a pocket Hd camcorder

Take my advice as an ex-owner/buyer of the camileo h10- LOOK ELSEWHERE. This cam doesn't deserve the badge 'hd' ! The video playback jerks when panning around. The lighting is awful- almost shadowy. The colours seem washed out & flicker when you pan. And MOST annoyingly- a pink stripe appears on screen playback when you catch the sun or a strong light. Battery life burns up in next to no time. Sold this via amazon a year ago & bought the camileo (S10) & what a contrast in difference. For about the same price as want for the h10 you can purchase it's sister- both have the toshiba badge- & MARVEL at the QUALITY the (S10) produces on playback. With near FULL HD- 1440 X1080 - the toshiba camileo (S10) has been a superb budget buy. If you don't believe me look at the footage on youtube. !

Not worth £100 - had this camera 12 mths ago sent it back because its rubbish. Better off putting £100 towards a Flip, Kodak or Sanyo etc.. much better cameras thats what I did.
