Just left Asda in Wallasey. They had 2 of these on the shelf. Would have grabbed as such a bargain, but I already have more removable drives than I need!

Damn, I thought getting two for £29 each last week was good, but then no guarantee they would have dropped further. BOGOF was better than full price

Woodchurch store have about 6 or 7 of these in - they are in the lockable units behind the checkouts, so you'll have to ask for them. They also have about 5 of the 1Tb ones in the green packaging for the same price (£17). Be careful though cos they have some 2Tb in the green packaging and hey are scanning at £81. And I picked up a Canvio Desk 3Tb for £28.

I went to derby sinfin the had 1tb 2tb and 3tb in the cashier display asked the asda guy to scan them and they came up at full price! anyone shed any light on this? Thought it was national!?

Some reviews mention this doesn't work well with Mac OS, something to do with the driver software. Can anyone confirm this?

It's not a Connect II but I've been using a Canvio Basics for the past year or so that's been absolutely fine with my iMac.

They had one of these in my local, it scanned at £53 though. No Canvio II's.

Not sure about this drive but I always ran into issues when using external hard drives on Macs when trying to keep them compatible with PCs.

Fat32 worked without a problem but the file size limits proved problematic. exFAT solved this but had never ending errors and problems mounting the drive especially when going to and fro between Mac and PC!

Never had a problem since making the full switch and using Mac OS file system instead.

None in my local had 32gb usb for £4 tho

got the 3tb for £25 . Heat added

Thanks OP - managed to pick up two of the 1TB drives for £17 each.

Asda Pudsey have none just Bought the last 2. Sorry

Went to another none there

You were on a roll that day, huh?, hehehe.

I get the feeling Wolverhampton staff snap up anything from the entertainment and tech section for resale. Great find though, Heat.

Bargains from Asda this week 3x Ipod Nano 7th Gen 16GB £21 each, Toshiba Canvio Desktop External £28, 2x 1080 action camera's £24 each and 3x Kids comforter blankets for £1.75 each all gone up on eBay should be a nice £275-300 profit :P Missed out on a 32" 4K TV for £165 though I'd of kept that for myself.

He means can the internal drive be removed and used on its own in a PC or other device. Guess he'll need to google to find out!

No longer required for first £1000. That's for air bnb'ing, selling stuff on ebay etc.
