phone yer local asda and ask
Never ever have found this sort of deals in my local Asda, should be national, but, I think, not all managers can be a...d.
Managed to get one from Grimsby. No idea on how many they have left but they have them in the back. Cheers op!
They also have the 1tb for £28.50
Happened to be around ASDA in Stevenage so went inside and picked the last 2TB box from the isle, but when I checked at the till it was OOS.

Good find nonetheless.
Out of stock of both the 1TB and 2TB HDDs in Gateshead Team Valley.
Got one from asda superstore woking. They had also 500gb & 1 tb instock.
Does anyone know which section will these be in? I've never seen Harddrives in Asda
Can anyone who's bought one confirm whether these have the strange connection where the USB socket is soldered to the hard drive, so if that connector fails, the drive is useless? Or is it a standard SATA drive inside?

note sure, just plugged into the ps4 usb port, did not take it apart as you don't need too do that now

I don't know where they're either, recently my Asda moved things around, I looked at where the USBs and Printer papers are but I didn't see any Blank CDs or Harddrives..

Great deal. Picked one up from the Teesside branch. They had some 500Gb, 1TB and a couple of 2TB ones left. Cheers OP!
Looks like this is a drive with the connector soldered to the drive. Fine for game data or leaving on a desk etc, but not a serious portable external drive, as I'd be wary about trusting important data/backups etc to a device that is one yanked USB cable away from being a paperweight.

I cannot remember mate. Sorry. The 1TB was £28.
Bought 2tb for £42.00 today (18/06/18) at Asda Hereford branch, offer still available while stocks last.
Picked one up at the third attempt in Dundee today!
Are these powered by the usb or do you have to plug them in
