Absolutely stellar price for this, rrp of £80.

For anyone like myself that grabbed the Excite Pro for just £169 in December, it's amazing that you still have change for fish and chips out of £200 for a quad core tablet with one of the best displays on the market with the added functionality of the official bluetooth keyboard.

Charges via micro usb piggybacking power from your tablet via a short micro usb lead. Obviously you could also just charge it from a micro usb power lead.

Working condition: 2 months (operation condition in office environment, 5 days/week, active 1hr, idle 7hrs, turned off by on/off switch after working hours)

Stand by: 1 month (full battery and power on, idle)

Next day delivery via DPD with a 1 hour time slot notifications.

I am sure you can, although it would not fit, or for that matter certain keys on the android keyboard would not function on a Windows 8 tablet.

Ordered. Thanks OP.

You're welcome.

thanks getting it!

Saw this a few weeks ago and was very tempted to buy. I have a case already and not sure how much use I would get out of the keyboard so swerving this for now. I agree it seems a bargain.

I too bought the Tosh at £169.99 in December but wouldn't have change from £200 at my local chippy though!

Being pedantic I said you would have change from £200 to get fish and chips from your local chippy...at least for mini fish and chips

If you use your tablet for any social media use, or for that matter forums such as this one and tend to type quite a bit then its worthwhile. Would have no way have paid £80 for it, there again most official bluetooth keyboards are overpriced.

Keys are plastic with very little in the way of tactile feedback (as to be expected from a portable chiclet keyboard), but build quality is top notch with magnetic slot kickstand and rubberised plastic clamps for holding the tablet....certainly looks the part.

Dedicated keys for volume, brightness, back, home and app tiles, mute, app settings, screen lock, google mic search, email etc.

Personally cannot see it getting any cheaper than this, and if the standard case is anything to go by an increase in orders and Toshiba will most likely put up the price.

One thing I have noticed, when you shut the case without turning off the screen, the screen auto switches off. This means that Toshiba have magnet sensor switching built into the tablets, yet have not utilised this in their standard folio case.

Just got one; thanks, have some heat! Might be more convenient than the normal cover case with a PS3 blue-tooth keyboard; ebay argos special (another HUKD).

Can the tosh still be held as a tablet in the case-does it fold back onto the keyboard?

If you look at the last but one picture I posted you will notice that there is a cloth hinge, you can just fold the keyboard underneath the tablet.....however its not at all comfortable....much easier to unclip the tablet from the case.

Probably like the Port Designs case (which I recall you have too) that's not very nice to hold in tablet form. Thanks for the pics and advice mate

No problem, I think you will find any kick stand case to have excess bulk, and in this instance with the keyboard excess weight. You really need a simple cover case like the official one. I manage ok with the port designs one folded back, but its amazing how soon you realise with a tablet just the different cases you can purchase for different situations.

hello again peops , just wondering if there's something similar / cheap for the ipad air
thank you

Got mine today, impressed at this price. Any news on a KitKat update for the Tosh?

Apple selling something cheap? You being serious?

Thank you for the excellent pics, was that close to ordering a generic one for £20 of ebay. Worth the extra for a custom fit.

Providing it is shipped same day as ordering mine was despatched via DPD, however if you do not register an account it will display the delivery reference on your invoice on despatch, go to DPDs website, put in that reference number and you can even have mobile phone updates from DPD giving you the hour time window of delivery.

Ordered yesterday midday, delivered first thing this morning.
Excellent build quality and thinner than the generic cover I had been using.

Thanks for the heads up.

I think there was only three for sale. One had gone & I bought the second so the offer has passed.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toshiba-Excite-Pro-Tablet-AT10LE-A-108-10-1-16GB-1-8GHz-Quadcore-Refurbished-/321354937147?pt=UK_iPad_Tablets_eReaders&hash=item4ad23f333b

The unit only had one update to reach v4.3 JellyBean, the battery was partly charged (~80%) & there were no stickers on the camera lens. These points were mentioned in the main Excite deal as indicating that the items had been back to Amazon & re-sold. This was never proved IIR.

The one I purchased was billed as "refurbished" & direct from Toshiba with 12mths warranty so I gambled that it was up-to-speed. No problems so far.

I'd suggest that any returns from the batch sold before Xmas could reach Toshiba & appear as refurbished in the future.

And with how some people have been ridiculously finicky over the "heat" of the processor, I am sure there has been a fair few returned that have not needed repair, just reboxing.

Should be unexpired.
