£179.99 delivered. For £249 you get the HD-EP10 with 1080p capability, also on play.com

wow best price so far, not gonna buy it just yet tho, darn i relly wanted to get the heroes hd boxset as well!

It's worth mentioning that on the other post (overclockers.co.uk) you also get 2 free HD DVDs from Toshiba making it a better value deal altogether. However the promotion might be open to all who buy this player throughout August - someone need to verify that.

I'm gonna wait until the next gen comes down in price after reading mixed reviews. The HD-E1's start-up time of about 35 seconds to boot up and another 25 seconds to load a HD DVD title would just drive me up the wall.

Yes, the 2 free hd dvds works with play.com. It is open to any proper company that sells a UK version Toshiba HD dvd player, which is just about every company except companies like Pixmania which sell the french version.

Woah the prices of those are really dropping - i wouldnt be suprised to see HD-DVD players for £99 at christmas or new year

Could very well shift the sales of hd-dvd although im still a fan of blu ray if only for the cool cases
