This is tempting, considering its £270 at Amazon. Looking for a replacement for my older Toshiba. Thanks for posting.

I was the OP for other Bestbuy deal, but my Quidco has not tracked even after 5 days:|:(

Still a good deal at £184 even if you don't get Quidco - but yes there are lots of comments on Top Cashback about them and their customer service can be a bit rubbish...

Quidco should pull unreliable merchants like these and 3 Mobile who reject 30% of all claims but they don't, they carry on allowing them to defraud.

(Good price anyway though)

Good review … Good review here:http://www.trustedreviews.com/laptops/review/2010/08/06/Toshiba-NB250/p1

Good review on CNET too

In my experience their customer service is rubbish.... If you need to ring or email them don't be expecting either satisfaction or a speedy reply.

I'd sooner get a netbook with Ion graphics, 12" screen, and 320gb HD personally for £230
saveonlaptops.co.uk/Len…tml

This is the version of the Toshiba NB250 with less battery life (4hrs) - I've seen the 8.5hr NB250 model at Currys for £233.

But heat for this deal since it's a good price for the particular model.

Just checked and its still working. Use capitals for NET and I found it won't accept code if you add certain additional items to your basket (eg the £5 netbook sleeve). So try it with just the netbook in your basket..

Don't rely on quido I'm also still waiting for validation since 5th December.

Thanks for the posting. Just bought two, one each for my children's birthdays. Worked out at £165 each. After the 10% quidco cash back . :-))))

Has anybody tried purchasing this via Top CashBack and if so does the transaction show up quickly?

Just asking, as they have the same deal available as well along with the discount code.

If only one person takes advantage of this deal then it makes it worth posting
BTW - you don't get cashback on the VAT of the netbook so its more like £169 if you get the cashback

Scotty boy - If you look on the topcashback site there are over a hundred comments under the best buy retailer info about the reliability of the cashback - could be a bit hit and miss.....

But I guess you want to know if anyone has bought this and had it successfully tracked

Agree - was curious as I prefer TCB against Quidco...it's a reasonable deal though for a cheap netbook, which is has easy access for upgrading the hard drive & memory.

Which would you recommend - this toshiba or the Sony Vaio M11 which is slightly more expensive but at a similar spec??

How much more expensive? If you want a netbook with:

a) good battery life, then the Toshiba NB250-108 is better than this deal (NB250-107, ~4hrs battery) as it lasts 8.5hrs approx. The Toshiba NB250-108 is £218 delivered (ismtech.co.uk/pro…php?id_product=9247). I've seen shops, hotel bars, cafes, and trains with power plugs.

b) good multimedia/video playback then I'd get the Lenovo Ideapad 12 for £219, as it has a very fast graphics card (Nvidia ION), 12" screen, and more memory and bigger HDD. Battery life isn't terrible at ~6hrs (http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/Lenovo_IdeaPad_S1_904904.html)

c) Faster general computing then I'd go with the Dell Inspiron 11z for £229, as it has a faster CPU than most netbooks at this price range (Celeron ULV 743), also a 12" screen with 1366x768 resolution, 2gb memory, and can manage HD video. Comparable battery life to the Lenovo, and better than the Toshiba NB250-107 (http://www.saveonlaptops.co.uk/Dell_Inspiron_11z_1003534.html)

I know it's a money saving site and I'm basically recommending spending £40+ above this deal, but I think people would get better value for money this way. Most 10" netbooks are functionally the same, and only really differ with battery life and build quality.

When I bought a netbook, I could have gotten something just like the NB250 for £150ish, but opted for a 12" MSI U230 for about £225. I'm glad I did, as the extra 2" to the screen I've found very necessary and don't make them too bulky IMO. 10" netbooks are horribly small, and I like to watch movies.12" is very livable, especially since the higher resolution makes it quite a sharp image. I'd rather spend a little bit more for something I'll enjoy using.

Thanks for the replies RJK3. Very informative. I'll be honest by the time i read these replies i had already ordered the Toshiba NB250-107 from bestbuy. However i might return it and pay for something a little more. I will see once it is delivered
