Toshiba NB305-106 £280.83 delivered! don't forget 5% quidco too

This is the best deal i found after hours of searching, Just click on Buy on the link provided.

I short listed 3 netbooks:

Toshiba NB305-106
Samsung N210/N220
Asus EE PC 1005PE

They all have same specs with minor differences in battery life. I opted for Toshiba just because of looks and solid feel.

How do you "feel" something online? LOL!
I did check all three in stores physically.
Btw i don't understand why it's not hot, i couldn't find any better deal then this.
£270 is a lot for a netbook nowadays imo.

argos ebay clearance store has a ASUS EEEPC 1005P with very similer spec for £209,a refurb but a great machine, cant seem to link it here for some reason:?

or plenty around for less than £200 even £150 if you can make do with only 6 hours battery
Does anyone actually use a netbook?

I bought a Samsung NC10, used it 3-4 times and junked it to a friend for free. They are far too slow and the pathetic screen resolution makes doing anything browsing/email/watching video/most software applications a real headache.

An iPad or MacBook Air is a better choice for a portable computing experience.

I would say the netbook is the worst thing to happen to the computer industry since Microsoft Windows.
HP Mini 210 - 1003SA got one yesterday from comet for £249.99 was priced up at £279.99 so i thought i got a gd deal plus haven't put it down since i got it ... also you can hook it up to the old hd dvd xbox 360 drive and away u go awesome peice of kit

pm if you know of other kl stuff to do with a netbook !!!

Thanks Kev

I do use my MSI U130 as a media player on my 32" LCD tv and get a great picture. Better than any media player I had used before because no restrictions on codecs and upgrade is instant online. It's not HDMI but unless your tv is larger than 32", there is no difference in picture quality.

However if you want to spend £600 on an ipad (with basically the same functions but no physical keyboard or screen protection), be my guest.

However, I wouldn't spend £250+ on a netbook. I paid £125 from Argos/ebay.
Why is everyone comparing new prices to refurb prices as though the two are equivalent? Seems to be a new and rather odd thing on HUKD. Especially as the refurb prices aren't actually much lower!
I'm not saying refurb is bad but many prefer new and it's not realistic to compare the two.
As nobody has found this netbook cheaper and Toshibas are supposed to be good, it's heat from me.
Yes you can get one even in 150 BUT again this netbook is far better than those, there's lot to consider before doing comparing this machine with other 150-200 ones like processor, hdd, build quality, connectivity etc. This machine and the other two i shortlisted they all have latest and the most complete spec for a notebook today.

Specs and performance wise probably EE Pc 105 is equivalent to this but again build quality is not that good.

In the end i won't say that notebooks are completely rubbish, i think still you're getting way more than what you get in 400 in the form of small iPhone or HTC phone, isn't it?
