excellent tv I got the same one for my son's bedroom for christmas, every time I go in his room I think what a great picture:thumbsup:

Two words for you, World & Cup. ;-)

One of them is a 19 inch TV. Would you watch the world cup on that?!?

Although, personally I don't actually understand what the correlation is.

Surely we're all watching TV already, and therefore have one. What is it about a World Cup that makes you think "mmmmm, new telly?"

If you were looking for a new TV then obviously you can pick up a bargain, which is great. I just don't get the marketing, other than making misinformed consumers think that a HD TV with Freeview means HD Freeview and therefore watching games on it looks better than on their current TV.

On top of this, half the world watches England in the boozer anyway. When I say watch, I mean the men watch whilst the women chat away.

Got one a couple of weeks ago. Nice TV that is now in the bedroom.

You can go through the Nectar site to get points from Amazon -- apparently.

It is a fact though, TV's sell extremely well coming up to major football tournaments, and you can see by the Telly deals that all of the major company's will be trying to get their slice of the pie.

And the other 8? :whistling:

Can anyone comment on the comparison between the Regza, Viera and Bravia deals that have just been posted today? Looking to get a new 32"-37" inch and these are well in the price range, but was wondering if anyone had sufficient technical knowledge or experience to compare.

Jamie, it's obvious where you got the name Crazy from - asking a question like that on here!!!
Hope you're prepared for the barrage of advice you're going to be getting. - and don't expect you'll be any the wiser when you've read it all!

Rest assured that I asked the question in the full knowledge of what I was letting myself in for. Even worse, I've asked it in all three respective threads :-D

Got this telly last Saturday from Amazon. Really impressed. Remember to register for the World Cup promotion within 7 days though else you're not eligible.

This isn't the 100hz version is it?

No but don't assume the 100hz version is better. On LCD TVs it can make the picture worse.

The big plus on this set is that the picture processing ( resolution+ and even the picture noise reduction) works wonders on standard definition pictures. Unlike many other sets it does not introduce any picture nasties like smearing or blurring.

If i turn on noise reduction on my partners LG set the picture lacks any detail and skin tones especially look awful.

I have the 37XV635DB 100hz and it's amazing

I just bought the 100Hz version (Toshiba Regza 37XV635DB 37-inch Widescreen Full HD 1080p 100Hz LCD TV with Freeview ). :-D
