I ordered mine from dell on the 13th of December delivery was supposed to be on Tuesday now its been put back another week, so here's hoping it comes if not I know where to order next! lol

I thought HD Ready meant 720p... this is 1080p yet it still called HD Ready. What's the difference?

A lot more pixels = a lot more detail.... still, you'd probably not notice unless you get a 50" screen, sit 2" from the screen or you are watching BlueRay

HD Ready means that is a minimum of 720p and will also accept an 1080p signal (which it may scale down to 720p). Therefore 720p and 1080p TVs are HD Ready, but only 1080p are Full HD.

Eh? I thought 1080p was full HD (aka HD Ready 1080p) - 720p and 1080i is HD ready.

This TV is 50hz.....
My personal opinion is that 100 or 200hz is only really beneficial with sports and gaming... in fact i've heard many people claim that it can be a disadvantage when watching films.

It depends if it can handle a 100hz input signal as this offers some advantages such as 3D compatability - however this is currently restricted to a handful of Plasma sets at present (LCDs can't handle the required response times as yet...). Current 100hz plus sets only offer 50hz frames repeated twice instead of once per cycle.
