To compare video card specs click here.

What's good:
- good video card (128bit memory bus!!!)
- amazing touch pad, supporting two-finger scroll, pinch, flip and rotate.
- very nice glossy screen
- huge keyboard with number pad
- good speakers (for a laptop computer)

What's bad:
- huge power adapter
- poor battery life (who cares!)
- average speed hard drive (recommend replacing it with a 7200rpm drive or better yet a solid state disk)

Looks ok - but one of your images above does show the machine with a Blu-Ray drive (which this model doesn't include). Though I'm sure the image is just to show the case, just wanted to point this out to anyone looking at it...

The A600 platforms are lovely by the way

What is amazing about the touch pad?

Unlike your average touchpad it supports two-finger scroll, pinch, flip and rotate.

It's great fun to play with, also personally I prefer my Thinkpad's trackpoint.

OK, thanks.

Warm deal rather than hot...

I'm on the brink of buying the daddy model - A660-15T, very similar spec but got blu-ray too. For £50 more.

But I have just seen the HP Pavilion dv7-3105ea, which is very similar but has a 7200 rpm hdd and is £50-100 cheaper. However, the reason why I'm looking is because my last Pavillion fried itself and is not worth fixing (motherboard/graphics card/gpu failure)

I like the HP 17" higher resolution screen, but the weaker GFX card make it a no no. The faster hard drive is nice. Lets face it processors haven't been the bottleneck for a while, it's the cheap/sluggish hard drives manufacturers fit as standard.

Buying the cheaper Toshiba model I would put the £50 saved towards a 128GB SSD for the computer.

Out of interest, where did you see the A660-15T for

If this weren't a Toshiba I might've bought it... beware of them, they're rubbish.

this seems the best in its class although there is this which has a better graphics card Acer Aspire which has a ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650 better card although only has a i7 as appose to the i7 of the toshiba

Out of stock now
