could be a nice little machine for uni students for coursework and some light entertainment
Genuine help only. Looking for a sub £300 laptop to carry out every day tasks. The missus will occasionally play The Sims 4 and I may purchase the new Football Manager if it's worthwhile. Will this machine be any good?
cool price

This machine should do just fine for that.

It should suit your requirements, if you want a cheaper one you can always have a look at refurbished section at Argos on eBay, here is just one example: ebay.co.uk/itm…272

Awesome comment, I would just like to add my slightly different advice. I wouldn't clone the drive but do a clean install on the ssd, that way you are in total control of what you want to install and don't get a dozen of dodgy programs from the manufacturer (I don't know how good or bad this specific device is with respect to this).
The following link shows how to retrieve the windows key which you can use to do a clean install on the ssd:
howtogeek.

Again to everyone its own, your process might be a bit simpler if you are not used to installing os's but I believe for not much more effort a clean install is a better option with a new machine.
