The dell outlet deals on at the moment are better imo.

sorry, was a typo. corrected.

felt cheap but at the same time rigid. What I like about it is, there are similar i5 deals out there but this one is from John Lewis. And that two year guarantee. I'm not in love with it, would like to know if it has USB 3.0, but, my two cents, on the approaching hot side for the vendor and the guarantee.

Rubbish CPU, doesn't mention if the hard disk is 5400rpm or 7200.
"The 15.6-inch screen offers a stunning 1366 x 768 resolution," stunning???? I don't agree.

not bad for the price

Hi ive been looking at Dell Outlet & cant find a similar deal with 6gb/640 - can you link to one as I dont find the outlet website that friendly?? thanks

Beware, this is a slow version i5. Other offer use i5-2430, which is faster. No USB 3.0 either. Cold from me.

6GB ram is pointless for 99% of users.

Aim for 4GB with win 7 64bit

Naruto, I have checked Dell outlet several times for the past week (at least twice a day) and I can safely say that all their offers are less value than what you can buy in shops NEW. You probably get confused about the processors thay offer, most are low speed. Not all i3/i5 cpu are the same. Some are significantly slower (e.g. first generation).

Hi, just wondered if anyone knew the actual processor speed of the Toshiba? On John Lewis' site it is listed as having a 2.4/3.0 GHz processor. I was thinking of buying it as the processor speed along with the memory seemed good value for money but then I noticed that if you scroll down to the key features section it says the processor is an i5 2467M which on the Intel site is only listed as a 1.6/2.3 GHz processor. I went to the Toshiba site and searched the model number of the laptop and it says it has an i5 2430M processor which does have a speed of 2.4/3.0 GHz but whenever I search the internet (such as this thread) it shows it as having the slower processor. I asked in John Lewis the other day but the assistant even seemed confused, just wondered if anyone could clear this up, Thanks.

I can confirm this does the 2430 i5 I have had mine a day and so far so good. Boots up quick large hard drive and 6 mb ram. Its weaknesses are:- speakers are only OK, reflective screen (as with many others) and thats about it. 2 year guarantee and from John Lewis as well you can take it back without hassle and these I think are key points.

Thanks a lot for the reply. Very helpful.
