Perhaps you could remove the line: "Excellent AMD technology" from that description....?

Frighteningly, this CPU is slower than a 1.07GHz Celeron processor and even the Atom processors found in some netbooks !!

Cheap price, dire CPU.

only plus point for this is it's a tosh. Hdmi out and usb3 are nice features but not standout at this price and it's crippled by the woeful cpu. There are reg i3 2nd gen machines at this price now.

Nope, generally they break their power connectors within 18m.

What brand laptop is worth looking at for around £350, was looking a toshiba but if they break after 18m! bad news? Any advice

I can;t recommend Toshiba, I'm currently looking for a new laptop to replace a toshiba with a broken power connector. It's ridiclously common. They just crash randomly, and the power led stays dark for a dozen seconds or so before the power comes back. All I have to do it turn it on and go to BIOS, leave it 60 seconds and it'll hard reset itself.

Sometimes it'll last a few days, sometimes minutes.

I am surprised a the breaking of power sockets I have never seen one break occasionally they dislocate but are easy to push back into place. My company only deals in Toshiba and we do approximately 300 new ones per year and have few issues the person with graphics dropping then reboot sounds like Toshiba have done their usual trick and installed both AMD and Intel drivers for the graphics this will cause this effect just remove which ever one is not needed then the units are usually stable I have seen this many times with different models of Toshiba.
