Not sure if this is a great deal the price is confusing it was £899 last night gone up this morning, I think for a 4K laptop it's not too bad what does everyone else think

Gotta be honest, you're gonna get a long more bang for your buck with one of the MSI GS60's in this price range.

I get the idea you think I was poking fun at you, actually was just informing the other poster of where the information was that they wanted... Then I got a little sarcastic... can't help myself.

No insult intended towards your post, if I had a grand to blow on a 4k laptop I would...:|

Well it's only coz I've just received a nice PPI Refund from a old loan that I was looking, my current laptop is an i5 upgraded to 16GB ram running GTA 5 in low res but sometimes the whole road in front of me vanishes and goes to a white screen while driving lol. I certainly think this laptop running that graphics is gonna blow my Nvidia 740m out of the water

If your gaming, I wouldn't get this. That gpu will not ruin games nicely at it's native res. You might as well get a laptop with a better gpu and a 1080p screen

What laptop should I get for gaming then don't really want to spend stupid money like £1100 £12000 or £1300 that is just ridiculous especially as tech is always getting better and your current laptop plummets quickly in price, and before you say it no I don't want a desktop PC lol my partner would have a fit if I got one of those. It needs to be a laptop
that gpu will not run the screen well at all, good res but pitifully underpowederd gpu.

Bloody hell might as well stick with my console how hard is it to get a good gaming laptop
Asus G751JL can be had for same price, new 2yr warranty. Simples.
Take a look at these guys, they make some awesome machines and aren't that expensive.
For example you can get
4k IPS, i5 6600k, 8GB ram, 120 GB SM951 M.2 ssd, 1TB HDD, Intel AC8260, for around 1300£, GTX 970M with 6GB DDR5,
Of course there are many other options available the above is just a machine I would probably get if I had unlimited budget and wanted a massive gaming lappy.

Yeah but as far as I can tell that one has "only" full hd and this thread is more about 4K gaming laptops...

I do agree that this laptop is not very well balanced for gaming at least and have voted cold for the price/specs ratio.

It's not. OP said he's just after a good gaming laptop, not specifically 4k. For gaming, 4k is a complete waste on a laptop as they are not good enough to run games at that res well and the added pixels are a waste.

I disagree, I believe 980M with 8GB would run just about anything on 4k, the laptop I posted has all that, it is virtually a mobile desktop.
It does cost 1400£ with those specs though...

There are a couple other laptops which can run 4k nicely.
