Why cold? Seems alright to me,

3Gb of memory, 250Gb hard drive, Vista Home Premium, Upgrade to Windows 7 all for £320.

A year ago this would have been £400 and people would have been happy to pay it.

This is a good deal.

I know they are normally around £350, it is a reputable company, good spec, and good brand, WTF???

hmm now this is much better value than the other £300 tosh u submitted, have some heat.

may be

Processor - AMD Athlon X2 QL-64 / 2.1 GHz ( Dual-Core )

doubt it, its better than a pentium dual core

bargain to me in between the price of a netbook and a standard laptop. great spec for the average user

I have a Tosh Satellite. Super piece of Kit. 3GB of RAM + Windows 7 for just over £300!!! - Ok someone will always nit pick - But look at the price................... Toshiba know how to build good Laptops and this is great value for money.

Might be worth pointing out that this price includes £50 cashback from Toshiba.

Spec seems good for this price (however battery life is only 2 hours).

One from Tesco is available for £329.00 with clubcard points and 17 inch screen....For extra £10 pounds, you get bigger screen, free postage too and some ?quicdo cashback.

Here is the link - ]http//di…spx

Specifications are nearly similar....

Right,
Some comparison:
Harddisk 320Gb against 160
Ram 3 Gb against 2
Screen 15" against 17

I know which one I'll pick :-) this offer is great and no point nit picking....

You cant fault Toshiba build quality and that is a great price. Ignore the doubters and have some heat.

Just had a look and there is the £50 cashback mentioned (not sure if it applies to this model but even hotter if it does.

Looks great, just paid £400 for a similar specced Dell.

However the Dell had a 2.2Ghz Core 2 Duo, I assume that's a better processor than this Dual Core model.

This price is after the cashback as stated on the direct link.

Voted hot from me, recently bought a simalar spec form £350!

Tesco also do a L300-243 which as far as I can tell has the same specs ..as I was looking to buy the one in tesco can someone tell me what am I missing and which is the better one.Thanks....

On Laptops Direct webpage it lists "Operating System - Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium - Buy now and upgrade to Windows 7 for FREE". But Toshiba, and other brands, do have an administration fee. ]Toshiba site link.

Posting so people are aware of the slight additional cost, if plan to switch to Windows 7. Still a good price for a laptop though.

Which one? (Genuine question). You can change the hard disk and the RAM but not the screen. So maybe the bigger screen one? I think for not heavy useage (older person using the net mainly) maybe the 17"?

EDIT : Justnoticed another difference. The Tesco one only has Vista Basic as opposed to Premium. MMmm.

As I've got an SSD I plan to use in what ever laptop I buy, I agree with point. Especially as you're stuck with the screen.

Something to consider is if the 17" model uses the same standard of panel as the 15" model, with just an extra 2" in size. Don't see why it shouldn't, but companies have profit margins to meet.

If look at the links below, in the URL the Tesco model has Discontinued in the address.

Spec listings for both models from Toshiba's site
]L300D-22E 15.4" from Laptops Direct
]L350D-201 17" from Tesco

You have to pay £369.97 up front so the price in the title is not correct. The price in the title is AFTER cashback.

so.....the difference between this and L300-243 at tesco is.......?

Not quite sure whether to bite or not, seems a fair deal though

Cheers OP, just gone for one.

O.k.
the only difference I can find is that theL300(D)-243 isn't called Pro and has a Multimedia Bar with 6 touch Easy Keys (Mute, Rewind, Play, Stop, Forward, CD/DVD launcher)

COLD. £422 inc VAT for me?!?!

seems like a really good deal and im so close to getting one. But how much does the warranty work out as? and also how do i go about purchasing the warranty? I know it comes with 1 year manufacturers, but I would like to extend it to 3 years.
thanks guys

Gone up £10...

Anybody received theirs yet? Whats the verdict?

Gone up to £349.97 now
