If making cold then please provide reason....If seen cheaper elsewhere please let me know as I am going to purchase this item.

Thanks

I guess its got cold votes because its in the 'tax free' part of the airport and as such only available to a very select few.

Its also available at £49.99 at Play.com and Dixons for everyone so its not much of a deal in my opinion.

Sorry, I have this in the wrong catagory.....this is available from Dixons online.

I cannot understand why people are still buying dvd players, it's got to be the Sony blu ray bdp - s350 player at argos with a free spiderman trilogy 3 disc blu ray set (rrp £34.99) @ £149.99 for me, or the Panasonic DMP-BD35 blu ray player or the cheaper Samsung blu ray player.

They all have DVD upscaling as well, i know they are more expensive but they are all future proof and great little machine's, well worth it in my opinion if you have an LCD or plasma with a 1080i/p spec.

Point taken, but not everyone can afford blu-ray players or the titles on a regular basis. This is a 3rd of the price of the br player you mention. Besides, I'm just sulking because my telly wouldn't do br any justice and I can't afford a new one yet! :x

Yeah i understand, but i would suggest saving up until you can afford a blu ray player rather than spend £50 on this toshiba dvd player.

Blu ray discs are getting cheaper by the month, ok they are not as cheap as dvd's but you get alot better quality, also i remember when dvd players came out, the 1st one was a sony and it was £1000 !!! and the actual disc's were more expensive than new blu rays now.

As for a new tv, they are also getting cheaper as new oled are coming on the scene soon so lcd and plasma will be cheaper, i think it's worth it if you watch lot of movies.
