That’s only a 5200RPM the one on the deal here is 7600RPM not sure how much difference it makes but just to keep that in mind
I’ve got this drive, it’s pretty fast for a hard drive. It is fairly loud, I remember seeing this commented on a previous deal but didn’t think it would be considering the loud pc components I’ve had in the past. But it’s defo audiable.

Worth it tho
Hi,got this drive in a 5tb it pretty quick, it definitely not the quietest. Would definitely buy again.

I think the x300 is a higher tier drive and it would be faster.

Although personally id go for the N300 over this (same price on the evil tax dodger website)
Says 1 year warranty on here and other site say 2 years...
Which one is correct as 1 year on a single drive is pretty crappy in my opinion..
Good drives. Worth the money imo
Had a couple of these both of them failed wouldn’t trust again.
Have a few 5TB drives. Used heavily, fast but noisy. Perfectly reliable for me over the past 3+ years.
1 year warranty very likely to mean it is an oem drive with the supplier. IMO it is not worth the saving. The supplier is saving much more than you are and you are carrying the risk.

My advice is to look for a retail version with a proper warranty. For the small price difference you will have the extra peace of mind and probably a more reliable drive. There is a reason these come with the minimum warranty required by law.

Because a sample size of 2 is a perfectly good sample size...
Not very good value nowadays per Terabye, when an 8 Terabye shucked drive was recently about £125. It was slower but for network storage there's not a great advantage in higher speed.

the system is the main issue not the dodger.
