Is this a Toshiba Spinal Tap Edition?
It's not a 7,200 rpm drive but a 7,201 rpm drive so it goes 1 higher for when you really need that extra oomph.

why?
well it is free delivery for me.
I guess it's a bit like the WD Black drives - yes it is noisier, but that's the price you'd pay for higher performance. I think the main source of increased noise is that the seeking movement on these drives is more aggressive.
This drive is 1 faster so you get the extra noise of the tubes being pushed into overdrive.
An ssd and a green type hdd is surely the better option.
Actually there are (were) laptops with 3.5" HDD drive inside. Yeah, I was shocked too ;-)
not if you are gaming
What's this site?
about 2.5 time slower. SSD generally is around 500 MB/s. this drive is about 200MB/S, its about as fast as HDD can go . Unless it really intensive game with tons of load time. this should be enough
They all make the slight spin up/down noise when entering/exiting standby.
