I doubt that it is a price glitch.

It was way overpriced in the first place.
Stupidly overpriced
Don't think it is overpriced -- Ultrabooks are just more expensive (higher spec and SSD, thinner, lighter etc.)
If this is overpriced then any MacBook AIR is double overpriced.

Still, can't afford one though. Oh well, my laptop is just heavier and bigger then :-p
Great price for a great ULTRABOOK, very light and thin - just can't afford one at the mo!!
dont you get some cash back for each goal England score at the Euros as well so possible saving there
Good price.
Yes it's £10 off for every goal England score. So OP you can take a tenner off that price!!

For an ultrabook it's a great price, think it might be one like the Asus i7's they had before that I picked up

They will be selling off all of the first gen Ultrabooks as the new ones with 3rd gen Ivy Bridge cpus are released.
yeah, they will start to make way for the ivy bridge ones. But just imagine if england score 15 goals in open play in the tournament.... lol... here's to hoping!

It's a possibility but will have to check if own goals count
The i3 is still £699 and the refurbished (when in stock and with the 15% discount) were £551
Anyone relying on the potential cashback for England goals, please make sure you register with the offer within 3 days of purchase, otherewise it is invalid.
BEWARE Bought Toshiba laptop from Argos at Christmas. Returned to Toshiba recently due to a sticking mouse button which they said was misuse. We contested this but they gave us three options Pay 80 for return 157 for repair or sign to let them scrap it.
Advised to pay for return and throw it back to Argos and in future NEVER return to manufacturer if under 6 months always to Seller (check eu directive on durability of goods)

Excellent price; my employer was paying over £1100 for these a few months ago (gullible fools )
Theres the acer s3 ultrabook on currys website for 649.99 if anyone is interested with the i7 processor
£10 off for each goal England score. Your laptop will remain at £549.99 then (_;)

Ouch! Should have read the small print.
Very hot. Getting harder to justify the Macbook Air pricing.
Hm... Fail to see why this is worth £549.99 :s

But you will never get the Macbook styling, or usability (trackpad)

It is ridiculous that. Not only do we not get cash but we get a voucher where you must spend £200 and in July for it to be worth anything. I suppose you could flog it on ebay for maybe £20 which is about worth the 2 goals england will score

You probably just don't appreciate the ultrabook format, as opposed to it being poor value (which it certainly isn't).

Just because the small form factor, and refinement aren't quantifiable like "4 megs" or "pentium 100" or "16 RAMS" doesn't mean they aren't worth the money.

Not sure it's worth ~£500 more though!
If this was a standard 15" laptop it would be overpriced for the spec. As it's an ultrabook, light, has a SSD and is a desirable 13.3" model this is an extremely good price as far as I can see. If I'd seen this the other month when looking at laptops I'd have been tempted, but I was looking for more of a media laptop to keep in the house.

Only downside I can see is the HDD isn't huge (but decent for a SSD) and it has no dedicated graphics, but I wouldn't expect this on an ultrabook of this size and price. It's more designed for speed and portability, rather than storage and graphics processing.

I own the current generation MacBook Air (Late 2010), and even I can see this is far better value than the MacBook Air now.

When I got my Air, the market was completely different. Now, I'd be buying one of these!
In the 2004 championships England scored 10 goals, in 2000 they scored 5 goals, and in 1996 they scored 8 goals.

They are 10/1 or 5th favourites to win this year and 12/1 or 5th highest scoring team.

So you buy your product you take your chances, I personally see a minimum of 5 goals this year from England.

Beat me to it. I love the MBA, but I hate the price!
