Bought this at Halloween for projecting onto the window.
Done the job, the included videos are good some scary and some child friendly for Halloween.

Can you use as home cinema?

I don't see why not, just don't expect a high quality picture.
The contrast ratio on this is a bit too low for cinema/gaming. Spend about double and you can get pin sharp projection from the ELEPHAS Q9 projector off Amazon UK.
Same projector on CPC Farnell for £81?

I highly, highly doubt the native resolution is 1080p.

It probably is something like 480p upscaling just like all the super duper Chinese projectors claiming they have 5000 lumens and so on
Here's a video, quality "looks" good.

It looks nothing like this. I have a video of it from Halloween on my window, with the videos that came with it and of AtmosFx ones, it's nowhere near as clear as what they are selling it as on YouTube.

So would you recommend this for home cinema use?
Definitely not, projectors cost at least £400 then you will want a motorised screen.

The YT videos are probably using a different projector since the video collections are sold separately.

If this is what your budget fits then buy it. I done a bit of research when buying a replacement projector for next Halloween.

I have now bought this one.

XIAOYA W5 Native 720P Mini Movie Projector amazon.com/dp/…TGP

Have tried it out and its far superior to the total home fx one.

What's the picture quality like? My problem with the Chinese projectors is the quoted Lumen, in this case 4000 Lumens! Which I think is impossible at this price. Please post pictures to show picture quality on the Xiaoya if you have to hand

Have a look on YouTube loads of reviews videos, that's what swayed me to buy the Xiaoya. You can also zoom horizontal and vertical which is easier than moving the projector back and forward.
