First half of book is great telling arnies rise to fame including his crazy training but second half I didn't find as good when the story changed to American politics, however as everyone knows each to their own

Agreed the parts about him growing up and getting into bodybuilding then moving to America and getting involved in movies are very very good. It falls apart massively after that as it expects you to know a great deal about US politics and that part if the book is a real slog and quite dull

I really enjoyed the book would recommend, it is amazing what he has accomplished
Good book, was sad when he didn't narrate the audiobook as I normally prefer listening to autobiographies read by the author.
DO IT!!!!!
Doesn't mention about his rent boy days or his massive dianabol intake or how he used to charge people for a photo together or his infidelity or his fatherless children or his tax avoiding measures or the pain and suffering he caused by giving terrible advice on training methods, the injury's he's inflicted on people through following his steroid pumped 6 day training sessions, but alas I do love his films and characterization.

Hope they were all female then it's win win.

Like others have said - the early part of the book about him weightlifting is brilliant. But when it comes to the 80s and his big films the standard drops quite a bit and we never get any juicy stories etc. Shame really!

Them times they did anything to pay for there food and magic pills,he used to go on dates with gay men, loads of them did,I'm sure some women rented him to,all that mattered was the training, there is a few not authorised books and articles about it,people believe what they want,I've spoke to a few people who have met him in the early days and they were very opinionated, what's true and what isn't true doesn't really matter much now,he's an old man and he's led a great life.
great find, i just purchased it
Excellent read... even if you aren't into bodybuilding, he has had a fascinating life.
One of my fave autobiographical accounts. Annie is great.

Annie was a little girl... Arnie is the greatest... Frank Zane close second.

Have you actually read it? He talks about his infidelity and how he hurt Maria. The rent boy stuff no but that is the first I've seen this in relation to Arnold. And of course he won't speak about steroids as he would become unmarketable like Armstrong.
