They stole his mind: now he wants it back!

In a futuristic world, construction worker Doug Quaid obsesses about taking a vacation on the planet Mars. His wife objects, so Doug instead opts to have an artificial memory of a Martian holiday implanted into his mind. The trouble is, during the implantation procedure, Quaid suffers a strange reaction. Why? It seems as though he has already been to Mars, but his memories of his journey have been wiped...

You just made exactly the same comments in the "Stand By Me Dvd" thread. Did you cut and paste? I'm guessing so, because you did so to 6 different threads about DVDs...

And I'm guessing you were aware, and dismissed, the irony in expressing mock boredom in response to threads about "old" films, by repeating yourself verbatim.

Voted hot. It may be old, but I like the film and want it for my collection.

i expressing the same comments cuz they are true for each of them, u can prob pick all of these films posted in your local market for about the same price so how is it a hotukdeal?

So post a list of markets where you can get genuine, brand new copies of this for £1.99.

For the same reason that people pay for something they can just steal from the shops.

i reckon that you shouldn't buy it then

In your opinion.

And if you can't see the fecklessness in you attempting to assert the redundancy of these deals, by you yourself replying with exactly the same response - verbatim - SIX times, then by all means, you brandish your opinion so forthrightly.

1. Some people like such "old film"s.
2. If you can match or better the exact same deals (ie in some cases, 2-disc special editions) for the price quoted in these threads - then by all means.
3. The quality of product at local market stalls where things like DVDs are concerned, can be very dubious. Sometimes 2nd hand, sometimes pirate copies.

I know that this might seem a strange concept, but I've always gone by the principle that if I'm not interested in a deal then I don't bother to comment on it, or even read it. Lets face it, the thread title is fairly obvious so if it doesn't interest you, don't read it! I can, sort of, understand your point of view, a lot of these films can be found cheap in many places, but sometimes it's nice just to be reminded of a film that you might not have seen for a while and fancy seeing again. Lets face it, you could buy this and a 4 pack for a fiver and have a good night in.

People like Ashamuk should be banned,

Nice find! heat

Banned, because you disagree with Ashamuk? Banned, because you don't understand him? Banned because of your own prejudice?

With a bit more effort, you could be really funny!

I sorted out that quote thing for you - I'm nice like that...

What's to understand? Some enigma wrapped up in a riddle?

This Ashamuk posted to at least 6 different threads on DVD deals, with exactly the same (verbatim) reply, apparently all for things he / she / it has absolutely no interest in whatsoever.

Don't you think "prejudice" is a tad strong? All the same, I'm not sure I'm in favour of banning anybody, per se - but it does seem entirely churlish and redundant to post many identical messages, all with the common theme of them being DVD deals.

One could almost think Ashamuk has a bee in his / her / it's bonnet about them - either that, or has an axe to grind. And that's letting the poignant irony of the derisory messages slide.

You're all the same to me.
