Great game, great price. I know its on sale on steam currently, but when you combine with code:

GFDDEC20UK

price cannot be beaten. ~£1 quidco is a bonus on top.

Enjoy!

EDIT: direct link as HUKD is changing it so it doesn't work:

I just paid £12.50 for the game so its a pretty hot deal

is this really worst than 1st one

Played the first one a few years ago, loved it!

Very tempted to go for this but did read that Rome 2 is quite buggy.

It is £12 @ GMG too, they were having a discussion on the game in that thread.

i think the game is good ive clocked 140+ hours so far and not even scratched the surface

the only downside for me is the AI is still a little broken and you can win easy and there are also times you feel the AI cheats

but i do try my best not to take advantage of the broken AI and Im finding the game really good but i am now not sure they will fix the AI as they appear to be set on releasing DLC and i would have thought they should fix the game completely first before doing paid DLC
but £12 i think is a good deal

Good price. Got far too many steam games at the moment that haven't been played

I want this but cant seem to get Shogun 2 to work just get a blue screen so I think I might need a graphics card or something before I get this heat all the same great price.

Awful game.

Awful game.

ditto on that unhelpful comment

Heat added!

How long is sale on steam for?

Game was buggy at release I bought at £22.50 about three weeks ago with no regrets - it's good fun and most of the worst problems are fixed. Gutted you can now pick it for £12 but it's a good deal if you like like the genre!

140 hours and only scratched the surface? Holy banana, still I guess I wouldn't wince at that if it were an RPG, which really tells me this just isn't my genre. I do love the Shogun games though, they only take an hour to really get into

Generally RTS games are like that, providing hundreds of hours of enjoyment. If you liked Shogun 2 why is it you think you wouldn't enjoy this?

Having bought this at release and put about 50 hours into it I can say that most of the game breaking bugs are fixed, but I still think this game has been completely dumbed down compared to previous titles.

For me having more options doesn't really help me enjoy it any more. So more micro managing = less enjoyment for me. For instance I much preferred the original Shogun to the sequel even though technically the second one is far superior. The original was just more fun. It's not even so much that really as it is just being faced with a lot of new stuff I have to learn and get used to before I can start really appreciating and enjoying the game. With so many games it's hard to devote that much time to just get into one. I'd probably love all the new ones if I sat down with someone who knew them and just got into them. X)
