Warranty is good but I've seen the same spec for between 400-500 quid. Paying for Sony I think.

No your paying for quality, Sony computer equipment is about as good as it gets for reliability, thats not to say its perfect but its far less likely to develope a fault than say an Acer or Dell
so you have a choice to pay a bit more now or a lot more later when you get your other brand repaired
Hmmm, tempted to sell my Acer touch and get this

Lot of money to pay for a tablet/laptop as this is just what it's like . Behind the screen is a laptop motherboard and gubbins and a nightmare to put right .I've had to fix a similar one recently after a bad virus knocked out the mbr . PCWorld quoted over £200 to put a one similar right .After taking out about 20 screws you have to prize the bezel from the casing to get at the drives etc . Most desktop , you can change the grafics cards and add stuff , not with theses things . I wouldn't want a one for free .
