Please go easy this is my first submission.

Searched for Toy Story 3 box set and came up at £27.99 at Sainsburys Entertainment. However, shows as £21.99 in their bestsellers list. Only difference I can see is a bonus disc but not worth £6 IMO.

Hope you find this useful.

Please let me know if this is cheaper elsewhere.

I'd happily pay a quid more to buy from play or amazon.

Sainsburys entertainment are on santa's naughty list.

oooo, I think its a bit harsh to slate the deal as the retailer is pants......its only £1.00 cheaper than Amazon though!!

This is the response for them cancelling my orders 2 weeks after taking them -

Thank you for your email regarding the service you have received from
Sainsbury’s Entertainment.

I firstly would like to apologise for this experience. I appreciate how
frustrating this experience has been for you, so I would like to take this
opportunity to explain.

Sainsbury's Entertainment website operates a buy to order process and
therefore certain products we advertise we do not keep in stock.
As soon as a customer places an order then we request this item to be sent
to our warehouse from our suppliers.

Occasionally our suppliers advice that products can no longer be sourced
and therefore we would cancel any orders and remove the item from our
website.

Please see an abstract from our terms and condition below.

We can only accept the order once we have confirmed that the Product is in
stock and available to send out. We have a large number of Products for
sale on our site and it is always possible that, despite our best efforts,
some of the Products listed on our site may be discontinued by and are
therefore, no longer available from our suppliers. The contract between us
(Contract) will only be formed when we send you the Dispatch Confirmation.

Once again please accept my sincere apologises for the inconvenience caused.

Kind Regards

Sainsbury's Entertainment Team

I reckon the reference to Terms and Conditions is spurious. The document to which I believe partyblast's email refers is the one on the website: sainsburysentertainment.co.uk/en/…rms They are very specific about to what they apply. They state:

"This page (together with the documents referred to on it) tells you the terms and conditions on which we supply any of the physical products (Products) listed on our website sainsburys.co.uk/ent…ent (our site) to you"

According to the URL shown in the address field in Firefox, Internet Explorer, et al, the site was sainsburysentertainment.co.uk. this is not the specifc entity to which MBL's Ts and Cs refer.

IANAL but I reckon MBL can't rely on the Ts and Cs 'cos they don't refer to the place you did business.

DVDs arrived on 22nd December, so all-in-all I'm happy with the service particularly when so much of my post has been delayed.
