When it comes to stocking up on baby essentials, the eye-watering cost of many bits of kit can be overwhelming.

But Toys R Us has launched an up to half price sale on their Babies R Us range, including brands like Tommee Tippee and Disney.

The sale includes practical baby products like bottles and push chairs as well as baby toys aimed at making parenthood that little bit easier.

The Tommee Tippee Close to Nature Complete Feeding Set in black has had its price slashed from £159.99 to £74.99, saving you £85.

But don't be fooled in to thinking this is the only place you can pick up a bargain.

The same set but in blue is on offer for the same price at Mothercare.

The modern Babylo Cozi Sleeper Crib which is perfect for newborns has had its price halved. It's down from £199.99 to £99.98.

The price of the Johnson's Baby Skincaring Essentials is also cut in half, down from £26.99 to £12.98.

But it's worth noting that some of the better deals on the bigger products are less than half price in the sale.

Essentials that are exclusive to Toys R Us have also had their prices slashed, which can only be a good thing when you can't pick up the same product anywhere else.

The Cosatto Supa Stroller in the Hustle Bustle print featuring classic, red London buses, is on offer for £149.98, down from £219.99 - that's a saving of £70.

Some of the smaller discounts have around £10 knocked off the original price, including a Disney Baby Winnie the Pooh Happy as Can Bee Rocker, which is down from £54.99 to £44.98.

Any parents who are struggling to get their little one off to sleep will be delighted to know that they can save £10 on the Summer Infant Slumber Buddy Elephant.

The cuddly toy for children up to four years old shines mesmerising stars on the walls and ceilings. It costs £12.99, down from £24.99, saving you £10.

It's unclear when the sale ends so you might want to get in there quick to make sure you bag yourself a bargain.
