I've got Zyxel PLA-401 Series 200Mbps AV Powerline adapters at the moment, will these work ok with them? cheers

Nice, but no through-put for other plugs... I wonder, these should work if connected to an extension plug, right?

Cold. Bought this for £29.99 couple of weeks back from Amazon. I can confirm that it works thru an extension plug.

Odd...I can't seem to find your post on HUKD making everyone aware of this mega deal when you found it?

Unless, of course, you're one of those who never post deals but snipe at other people's?? Perish the thought.....

It's £39.34 from Amazon. Nothing wrong with the BT shop, but to be honest I'd rather pay the extra £1 and shop through amazon - quicker, easier.

And is it true that these have to be used in a socket without anything else plugged in? My wall socket has two sockets. One charges my phone, the other goes to a power extension which then powers my ps3, tv and a lamp. I was hoping to plug this adapter into the 4th block on the extension cable?

Hmmm.......since I saw the 'out of stock' homeplug post on here from 7dayshop about a month ago I've been looking almost daily for a twin pack deal which is remotely close to what they were offering.

I wonder how I missed what would have been one heck of a hot deal! Oh well.

£37.42 delivered with shareholder discount.

I dont think BT will appreciate being called that. What have they done to upset you?

Have you tried a different delivery option?

hahaha

Maybe not such a HOT deal as it's 30% more expensive than a few weeks back - just your run of the mill "best available price"

Out of stock/expired within a couple of hours, I guess that's why I missed it.Oh well.........

Still can't understand why they'd vote this deal cold because of a now expired deal.

I've done network testing with home plugs (not this make) plugged into different types of extension leads. A basic one with no switches, surge, energy saving etc gave me the same speeds as the wall socket. However a energy saving one (which I assume has some surge protection or something in it) gave me about half the speed.

So it will probably work with most extension cables, but you may find performance suffers. In my case I could watch most content on my media player, but a higher bitrate HD file would stutter.

Yes I am considering the same thing (have Zyxel PLA-401)
Let me know if you get them, and try compatibility

Cold as I bought them for 1p from Dave's Hardware on the Isle of Wight. I was going to post the receipt but my dog ate it. Anyway, cheers.

noooooo; killing off radio am's wherever they reside D':

Bully for you. Give yourself a big pat on the back..

Now what about everyone else?

Or maybe we could just wait until they hit £30 on Amazon again? Amazon prices on some goods yo-yo like crazy, so I appreciate the original comment although I don't necessarily agree that this is cold.

What about for gaming then? Currently, my ps3 cuts out from a game the second it loses a tiny bit of connection.

Will the muppets knocking this deal look at previous offers. The other deals at £29.99 were for 85mbps Homeplugs. These homeplugs are 200mbps. Only previous offers I can see for the same speed ones were over £50. So at £38 these are a bargain, so I have ordered a pair to replace my crappy xbox wireless card :-)

On 2nd thoughts, following the link to pc stop. These can be had for £33 inc postage. So £5 cheaper than BT shop.

It expired so quickly I missed it too. £38 a pair seems pretty good to me.

The ones at PCStop is for a single pack, not a double.

You didn't look too hard - these had been below £40 at Amazon well before this deal was posted. hotukdeals.com/dea…028

A 67p saving on the (current) Amazon price is a hot price but it's not a blazing hot deal.
