I got the amazon deal last week at the same price - its a great bit of kit and im getting great speeds transferring between laptop and NAS drive
I got it for same price from currys last week. easy to setup and works well.Have got good wifi in all our 5 rooms over two floors.
What's your wifi speeds? I got 350mb virgin and would like to get the same speeds around the house on 5ghz so contemplating to get this?
My wifi is 76 Mbps (theoretical) and im getting 69 everywhere in the house and garden. Im transferring a 2 gig file from PC to NAS in about 30 or so seconds (I have not checked speed but its so much faster then the 1200 powerline adaptors i was using)
Got this for 94.99 last week from Amazon. Excellent bit of kit, highly recommend
To confirm, this replaces your current network?

And, does it replace the router? As I have the garbage Virgin Hub 3. But I gather I plug one M4 into the Hub? Confused.

Any help welcome.
Replaces the wifi from the router. Just changed my sky router ssid and renamed this to the sky and everything still works without changing loads of devices.
Im on Vodafone and have used an openreach HG612 modem and used the deco as a router and mesh network. Works really well. I have approx 50 items connected (including a lot of WiFi switches) and all works fine.

How do these work? Do you connect to these instead of your normal WiFi router? I ordered a different set a while back, but sent them back as I never noticed any difference with speeds. Maybe I didn’t set it up properly

Set your hub to modem mode. Plug in a single unit via ethernet (this becomes your router). The other units are used to daisy-chain the signal.

Yes. Put the virgin hub into modem mode and then plug one of these into the router and away you go. I use an Orbi system the same way and the speeds are amazing

What the other guys said. I got it on Monday and it's so much better than the superhub 3!

M4 or e4?
Any very voucher codes?
Just be careful with this. I purchased recently and not all of my devices work correctly with it. My wife's Xiaomi Redmi 6a connects for approx 5 minutes and then says connected with no internet. Also the parental controls are a bit flaky and when setting up the bed times for kids they were kicking in an hour too early. It's a pity because they are easy to setup and give good coverage for the majority of my household devices. Trying to arrange refund

Installed this in my house the other day. Really with this setup, you want to connect them with Ethernet cables if you can, if that's not going to be an option then you should probably get something different with a dedicated wireless backhaul, because this one will get slower the further down the chain you are.

For some reason, I didn't get very good speeds on this with virgin until I set the virgin router to modem only mode. After this, my download speed was around 80 meg (pay for 100) all throughout my house.

If you can cable them together, go for this, you won't regret it. If you can't cable them, then I'd probably leave this to be honest.

Just out of interest - did you tell the device to forget the previous network? I had similar problems, but I forced my devices to forget the previous network, then everything worked fine.

Yeah had tried that, I might try a reset and reinstall if decos to see if that helps if I can't work out a return. I have been checking the tplink forums and it appears to be an issue that the developers are aware of according to one user who has been working with them to diagnose problem

That's unfortunate. Might be incompatibility issues with certain brands (I don't have any Xiaomi devices, so I can't test that theory). Good luck with it.

I use Virgin media super hub3. All you have to do is change the virgin hub to modem mode and setup the to link as wifi router. the powerup sequence is important. think you have to powerup the virgin media hub first and then once its showing a solid magenta light( more of reddish) then you powerup the tp link router. setup is quite easy using the app.

My mate had a xioami phone which was connected to the old virgin hub. After we change to the new tp link mesh system he came over and got connected to the new router without any reconfiguration. might be a setup issue in yourcase.

Yeah not quite sure it's my wifes Xiaomi Redmi 6a but I have a Xiaomi Redmi note 8t and works perfectly. Might tell her that she will have to do without internet
Is anyone using the decos with a Samsung snartthings set up? I've a mix of Ikea, nest and tplink devices working ok. Bit nervous about migrating them 😳
These are brilliant - would recommend
Looking for some advice please, recently bought the M4 mesh system and haven't really seen any benefits as of yet.

The system occasionally drops out for a few moment and the signal quality is baffling, I thought by purchasing this system it would increase the signal throughout the house and give more consistent speeds also improving the cctv and ring door bell connections.

Example below

JH is the M4 deco routers
Underneath is my main sky fibre connection

I am current sitting upstairs with a router (Deco) 5 feet away and the sky modem downstairs, but yet the quality of connection is better on my sky modem how can this be?
