Great fibre modem/router and cheapest it's ever been. I have the baby brother VR200 and it's been rock steady since I bought it. All the features you'll need including gigabit ports, USB3, NAT, VPN, guest wifi, dynamic dns.

Note this is the original not the newer black V2.

There is also one in Amazon Warehouse "Used - Very Good" for £62...

does this work with BT infinity without the modem?

Yes, it has a modem built-in.

Anyone using this for PS4 usage (wired and wifi) be aware despite adding to DMZ and opening ports still huge problems with party chat/joining games etc. - something to do with NAT types etc. but after a month or so of no end of grief from kids it went back and switched to Asus and no problems - previously no issues with Sky/BT supplied routers too so very coincidental that only issues arose when using this specific router! Just FYI

this looks like the Archer D9 or C9, except its for fibre,

I have this. Using BT infinity. Have issues mapping network drives (no issue whatsoever on supplied BT home hub), can't figure out for the life of me what the problem here is. Even with the pc being a DMZ zone.

with dns. Do I have to register with no ip

Have this also, £85 from Amazon a month or so ago.

Have none of the above issues, using BT also, it works well. Much better WiFi than home hub6 too.

I have the none modem version and never had any such issue so unless they are massively different inside which i doubt its very strange most issues are user related ive never had to open ports manually and it just works although i will be changing to a Asus myself as it has very easy VPN setup built in.

I've had this router for a couple of years, no issues whatsoever. Have multiple devices connected, including switches & homeplugs to extend the network, never had to reboot. Prevously had HH3, 4, 5 and 3 Draytek Vigors 2750, all died.

If you don't already have an account yes. Instructions here on the TP-Link site.

is there any that offer free dns without having to renew every 39 days

Was going to post this myself. Bought one a couple of weeks ago for £99.98. IMO best router you'll get for the price. 18mbs has been increased to 30mbs with this. Highly recommend it.
