I am in the market for a better router, purely for home use. Can anyone recommend this product? It's probably the top of my current budget.

Thank in advance.

If it's WiFi coverage you're looking for, you may have better luck going with a WiFi kit like the BT stuff at £89
Doesn't seem to be available.

It was more for connection stability, I get some awful lag spikes playing games on the switch. My flat isn't enormous so the wifi range isn't too important.

Anything with 5GHz capability should be more stable, if you're not already using it. Which provider are you with?
Don't bother, it's **, kept losing signal so sent it back.

Have you considered wiring it? You are likely to get a much steadier level of service. There's a helpful article here

I can't tell much about this particular router, but I can recommend another tp link product.

Archer vr900 v2 - this is modem/router so even better.
I was about to wire my whole house, but decided to give it a go.

Not a single issue with WiFi since I bought it.
I'm watching 50GB 4k films over WiFi (from pc to Shield) without any buffering at all, playing online games, watching Netflix, p2p, all at the same time.

I'm currently with these guys zoom-internet.co.uk/. They've basically attached something to the side of my flat and the router connects directly to it without a phone line.

Unfortunately I can't get fibre to my house as my cabinet is full... Openreach have said that there will be more capacity added over the summer but that remains to be seen.
