    I have BT Smarthub 2 and Full Fibre 500. Would this replace the Smarthub or does it need to be used in conjunction with it?

    This does not have a built in modem, but reading on the BT Smart Hub 2, which has a modem built in.

    For the benefit of luddites like me - is this the device I'd need if I wanted to abandon wired broadband and rely on mobile data? Plusnet screwed up my broadband service and currently relying on a tplink mobile device. No 5G service here. (edited)

    This is a router so you could connect a mobile phone via WiFi to it to get internet so long as it is wired to your internet access point. It has nothing to do with mobile data which is internet over mobile phone cell towers

    Good deal. In-case anyone has both a Quest 2 and a gaming PC this should work well for wireless PCVR.
