802.11ac - The Next Generation of Wi-Fi

TP-LINK's Archer C7 comes with the next generation Wi-Fi standard - 802.11ac, 3 times faster than wireless N speeds and delivering a combined wireless data transfer rate of up to 1.75Gbps. With 1.3Gbps wireless speeds over the crystal clear 5GHz band and 450Mbps over the 2.4GHz band, the Archer C7 is the superior choice for seamless HD streaming, online gaming and other bandwidth-intensive tasks.

1.75Gbps Dual Band Connections for Lag-Free Work and Entertainment
The Archer C7 operates over both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, ensuring amazing wireless performance. Simultaneous Dual Band offers you the flexibility of two dedicated networks - with multiple times the bandwidth for your needs. Simple tasks like sending e-mails or web browsing can be handled by the 2.4GHz band while bandwidth intensive tasks like online gaming or HD video streaming can be processed by the 5GHz band - all at the same time.

6 Antennas for Fully Expanded Coverage
With 3 external 5dBi antennas serving the 5GHz band and 3 internal antennas serving the 2.4GHz band combined with higher quality antenna technology, you can maintain high speeds across greater distances. This provides you with incredible wireless coverage and reliability from anywhere in your large home or office.

Full Gigabit Wired Connections for Ultrafast Data Transfer Speeds
With one gigabit WAN port and four gigabit LAN ports, speeds can be up to 10× faster than standard Ethernet connections. The Archer C7 is a powerful hub to support a robust and extremely fast wired network.

Dual Multifunctional USB Ports for Storage and Sharing
With the two multi-functional USB 2.0 ports, you can share printers, files and media with different devices through your local network or via the ftp server while away from home.

Guest Network
Guest Network Access provides secure Wi-Fi access for guests sharing your home or office network.

Easy Set-up
Included in the resource CD, TP-LINK's optimized configuration utility can help users complete the entire software installation and wireless network settings in just a few minutes.

IPv6 Supported
Archer C7 supports IPv6, which is foundational to the next generation Internet and enables a range of new services and improved user experiences.

SWITCH

The TP-Link 8-Port Gigabit desktop switch TL-SG1008D provides you an easy way to make the transition to Gigabit Ethernet. Increase the speed of your network server and backbone connections, or make Gigabit to the desktop a reality. Moreover, TL-SG1008D adopts lower power consumption design. With the innovative energy-efficient technology, the TL-SG1008D can save up to 80%* of the power consumption, making it an eco-friendly solution for your home or office network.

Featured with 8 10/100/1000Mbps ports, TL-SG1008D greatly expands your network capacity, enabling instant large files transferring. So,power users in the home, office, workgroup, or creative production environment can now move large, bandwidth-intensive files faster. Transfer graphics, CGI, CAD, or multimedia files across the network instantly.

Go Green With Your Ethernet
You now have the choice to go green when upgrading to a gigabit network! This new generation TL-SG1008D 8-Port Gigabit Desktop Switch features the latest innovative energy-efficient technologies that can greatly expand your network capacity with much less power. It automatically adjusts power consumption according to the link status and cable length to limit the carbon footprint of your network.

Power down Idle Ports
When a computer or network equipment is off, the corresponding port of a traditional switch will continue to consume considerable amounts of power. The TL-SG1008D can automatically detect the link status of each port and reduce the power consumption of ports that are idle, resulting in up to an 80% reduction in power use.

Power Budget According to Cable Length
Shorter cables use less power because of less power degradation over their length.

Easy to Use
The auto features of this gigabit switch make installation plug and play and hassle-free. No configuring is required. Auto MDI/MDIX eliminate the need for crossover cables. Auto-negotiation on each port senses the link speed of a network device (either 10, 100, or 1000 Mbps) and intelligently adjusts for compatibility and optimal performance.

Maximum power savings when compared to a TP-LINK conventional switch, the real saving rate may vary based on the usage condition.

This router has pretty widely reported problems. Essentially, it's slow, doesn't offer great range and for an 802/11ac...or even a high end 802.11b/g/n router, offers **** speed and range. I bought one around 6 months ago and have tried it with 3 official firmwares, 2 beta firmwares, 3 different internet connections in 3 different houses and still have never been able to get it running at all well. Based on amazon reviews and forum posts, I'm not alone.
